Amos 5:18

Woe (judgment is coming) to you who desire the day of the Lord [expecting rescue from the Gentiles]!Why would you want the day of the Lord?It is darkness (judgment) and not light [and rescue and prosperity];

Woe unto you that desire the day of the Lord! to what end is it for you? the day of the Lord is darkness, and not light.

Alas, you who are longing for the day of the Lord,For what purpose will the day of the Lord be to you?It will be darkness and not light;

How terrible it will be for you who long for the day of the Lord!Why do you want it to come? That day will be dark, not light.

What sorrow awaits you who say, “If only the day of the Lord were here!”You have no idea what you are wishing for. That day will bring darkness, not light.

وَيْلٌ للَّذِينَ يَتَشَوَّقُونَ لِيَوْمِ الرَّبِّ. لِمَاذَا تَطْلُبُونَ مَجِيءَ يَوْمِ الرَّبِّ؟ فَيَوْمُ الرَّبِّ هُوَ ظُلْمَةٌ لَا نُورٌ.

Wehe euch, die ihr euch wünscht: »Wenn nur der Tag schon da wäre, an dem der Herr eingreift!« Glaubt ihr eigentlich, dass dieser Tag euch Licht bringen wird? Nein, in tiefste Dunkelheit werdet ihr gestoßen!

Kaluluoy kamo nga nagapaabot sang adlaw sang Ginoo. Indi kamo maghunahuna nga adlaw ina nga maluwas kamo[h] kundi silutan kamo.[i]

あなたがたは、『早く主の日がきてくれたら、神が敵の手から救い出してくださるのに』と言う。だが自分たちが何を願っているのか、わかっていない。その日は、光でも希望でもない。暗闇と絶滅の日だ。それはなんと恐ろしい闇であろう。喜びや希望の光などかけらもない。

여호와의 날을 사모하는 자에게 화가 있을 것이다. 너희가 어째서 여호와의 날을 사모하느냐? 그것은 어두움의 날이요 빛의 날이 아니다.

U zegt: ‘Kwam de dag van de Here maar, want dan zou God ons van al onze tegenstanders bevrijden.’ Maar u hebt geen idee wat u vraagt. Want die dag zal geen licht en voorspoed, maar duisternis en vervloeking brengen! Wat zal die duisternis vreselijk voor u zijn, er zal geen straaltje vreugde of hoop te bespeuren zijn.

Ai de vocês que anseiam pelo dia do Senhor!O que pensam vocês do dia do Senhor?Será dia de trevas, não de luz.

Se disserem: “Ah! Se viesse o dia do Senhor! Então Deus nos livraria de todos os nossos inimigos!” Mas não fazem sequer ideia do que desejam. Esse dia do Senhor não será de luz, mas antes de escuridão.

盼望耶和华的日子到来的人有祸了！你们为什么盼望耶和华的日子呢？那日将带来黑暗，而非光明。
