Amos 5:10

They hate the one who reprimands [the unrighteous] in the [court held at the city] gate [regarding him as unreasonable and rejecting his reprimand],And they detest him who speaks [the truth] with integrity and honesty.

They hate him that rebuketh in the gate, and they abhor him that speaketh uprightly.

They hate him who reproves in the [g]gate,And they abhor him who speaks with integrity.

There are people among you who hate anyone who stands for justice in court. They hate those who tell the truth.

There are those who hate the one who upholds justice in court and detest the one who tells the truth.

There are those who hate the one who upholds justice in court and detest the one who tells the truth.

How you hate honest judges! How you despise people who tell the truth!

قَدْ أَبْغَضُوا مَنْ يُنَدِّدُ بِالْجَوْرِ فِي سَاحَةِ الْقَضَاءِ، وَيَكْرَهُونَ مَنْ يَنْطِقُ بِالْحَقِّ.

Hvorfor hader I dem, der taler sandhed, og dem, der fælder retfærdige domme?

Gott sagt: »Ihr hasst jeden, der vor Gericht für das Recht eintritt, und wer die Wahrheit sagt, den verabscheut ihr.

Wat hebt u een hekel aan hen die in de poort opkomen voor het recht! Wat een verachting koestert u voor mensen die oprecht de waarheid spreken!
