Genesis 8

But God remembered Noah and all the wild animals and the livestock that were with him in the ark, and he sent a wind over the earth, and the waters receded.

แต่พระเจ้าทรงระลึกถึงโนอาห์และสัตว์ป่ากับสัตว์ใช้งานทุกชนิดที่อยู่กับเขาในเรือ พระองค์ทรงบันดาลให้กระแสลมพัดเหนือแผ่นดิน แล้วน้ำก็ลดลง

Now the springs of the deep and the floodgates of the heavens had been closed, and the rain had stopped falling from the sky.

ตาน้ำบาดาลและประตูน้ำแห่งฟ้าสวรรค์ก็ถูกปิดและฝนก็หยุดตกจากฟ้า

The water receded steadily from the earth. At the end of the hundred and fifty days the water had gone down,

น้ำจึงลดลงเรื่อยๆ จนกระทั่ง 150 วันผ่านไป

and on the seventeenth day of the seventh month the ark came to rest on the mountains of Ararat.

และในวันที่สิบเจ็ดของเดือนที่เจ็ด เรือก็มาค้างอยู่บนเทือกเขาอารารัต

The waters continued to recede until the tenth month, and on the first day of the tenth month the tops of the mountains became visible.

น้ำลดลงเรื่อยๆ จนกระทั่งวันที่หนึ่งของเดือนที่สิบ ยอดเขาอื่นๆ ก็ปรากฏให้เห็น

After forty days Noah opened a window he had made in the ark

หลังจากนั้นอีกสี่สิบวัน โนอาห์เปิดหน้าต่างเรือ

and sent out a raven, and it kept flying back and forth until the water had dried up from the earth.

และปล่อยกาตัวหนึ่งออกไป มันบินวนเวียนไปมาจนถึงเวลาที่น้ำแห้งไปจากแผ่นดินโลก

Then he sent out a dove to see if the water had receded from the surface of the ground.

เขาจึงปล่อยนกพิราบออกไปตัวหนึ่งเพื่อดูว่าน้ำลดจนถึงผิวดินแล้วหรือไม่

But the dove could find nowhere to perch because there was water over all the surface of the earth; so it returned to Noah in the ark. He reached out his hand and took the dove and brought it back to himself in the ark.

แต่นกพิราบไม่พบที่ที่จะเกาะเพราะว่าระดับน้ำยังสูงอยู่ จึงกลับมาหาโนอาห์ที่เรือ โนอาห์ก็ยื่นมือออกรับนกพิราบเข้ามาในเรือดังเดิม

He waited seven more days and again sent out the dove from the ark.

เขาคอยอีกเจ็ดวัน แล้วปล่อยนกพิราบออกไปจากเรืออีกครั้งหนึ่ง

When the dove returned to him in the evening, there in its beak was a freshly plucked olive leaf! Then Noah knew that the water had receded from the earth.

เมื่อนกพิราบกลับมาหาเขาในตอนเย็น มันคาบใบมะกอกเขียวสดมาด้วย โนอาห์จึงรู้ว่าน้ำลดลงจากแผ่นดินแล้ว

He waited seven more days and sent the dove out again, but this time it did not return to him.

เขาคอยอีกเจ็ดวันแล้วปล่อยนกพิราบออกไปอีก แต่คราวนี้มันไม่ได้กลับมาหาเขา

By the first day of the first month of Noah’s six hundred and first year, the water had dried up from the earth. Noah then removed the covering from the ark and saw that the surface of the ground was dry.

เมื่อวันที่หนึ่งของเดือนที่หนึ่งในปีที่โนอาห์มีอายุ 601 ปี น้ำก็แห้ง โนอาห์เปิดหลังคาเรือออกมาดูก็เห็นว่าพื้นดินแห้งแล้ว

By the twenty-seventh day of the second month the earth was completely dry.

พอถึงวันที่ยี่สิบเจ็ดเดือนที่สอง แผ่นดินก็แห้งสนิท

Then God said to Noah,

แล้วพระเจ้าตรัสกับโนอาห์ว่า

“Come out of the ark, you and your wife and your sons and their wives.

“เจ้า ภรรยาของเจ้า บรรดาบุตรชายและบุตรสะใภ้ของเจ้า จงออกจากเรือ

Bring out every kind of living creature that is with you—the birds, the animals, and all the creatures that move along the ground—so they can multiply on the earth and be fruitful and increase in number on it.”

จงนำสิ่งมีชีวิตทุกชนิดที่อยู่กับเจ้าออกมาด้วย ทั้งนก สัตว์ต่างๆ สัตว์ที่เลื้อยคลาน เพื่อพวกมันจะได้ออกลูกออกหลานและทวีจำนวนขึ้นในโลก”

So Noah came out, together with his sons and his wife and his sons’ wives.

ดังนั้นโนอาห์จึงออกมาพร้อมกับบุตรชาย รวมทั้งภรรยาและบุตรสะใภ้ของเขา

All the animals and all the creatures that move along the ground and all the birds—everything that moves on land—came out of the ark, one kind after another.

สัตว์ทั้งปวง สัตว์ที่เลื้อยคลานทั้งปวง นกทั้งปวง คือสิ่งมีชีวิตทั้งหมดบนโลกต่างทยอยออกจากเรือทีละชนิด

Then Noah built an altar to the Lord and, taking some of all the clean animals and clean birds, he sacrificed burnt offerings on it.

หลังจากนั้นโนอาห์สร้างแท่นบูชาแด่องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าและถวายสัตว์และนกที่ไม่เป็นมลทินจำนวนหนึ่งเป็นเครื่องเผาบูชาบนแท่นนั้น

The Lord smelled the pleasing aroma and said in his heart: “Never again will I curse the ground because of humans, even though^[a] every inclination of the human heart is evil from childhood. And never again will I destroy all living creatures, as I have done.
