Genesis 7

The Lord then said to Noah, “Go into the ark, you and your whole family, because I have found you righteous in this generation.

Apoi Domnul i-a zis lui Noe: „Intră în arcă, tu şi toată familia ta, pentru că am văzut că, din această generaţie, doar tu eşti drept înaintea Mea.

Take with you seven pairs of every kind of clean animal, a male and its mate, and one pair of every kind of unclean animal, a male and its mate,

Ia cu tine şapte perechi din toate animalele curate, mascul şi femelă, şi câte o pereche din animalele necurate, mascul şi femelă.

and also seven pairs of every kind of bird, male and female, to keep their various kinds alive throughout the earth.

Ia câte şapte perechi din păsările cerului, mascul şi femelă, ca să le păstrezi vie sămânţa pe pământ,

Seven days from now I will send rain on the earth for forty days and forty nights, and I will wipe from the face of the earth every living creature I have made.”

pentru că, peste şapte zile, voi trimite ploaie pe pământ timp de patruzeci de zile şi patruzeci de nopţi şi voi şterge de pe pământ toate vieţuitoarele pe care le-am făcut.“

And Noah did all that the Lord commanded him.

Noe a făcut toate aceste lucruri aşa cum i-a poruncit Domnul.

Noah was six hundred years old when the floodwaters came on the earth.

Noe avea şase sute de ani când au venit apele potopului pe pământ.

And Noah and his sons and his wife and his sons’ wives entered the ark to escape the waters of the flood.

Noe a intrat în arcă împreună cu fiii săi, cu soţia sa şi cu soţiile fiilor săi, pentru ca să scape de apele potopului.

Pairs of clean and unclean animals, of birds and of all creatures that move along the ground,

Dintre vitele curate şi necurate, dintre păsările şi toate animalele mici care mişună pe pământ^[a]

male and female, came to Noah and entered the ark, as God had commanded Noah.

au intrat în arca lui Noe două câte două, mascul şi femelă, aşa cum Dumnezeu i-a poruncit lui Noe.

And after the seven days the floodwaters came on the earth.

După şapte zile, au venit pe pământ apele potopului.

In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, on the seventeenth day of the second month—on that day all the springs of the great deep burst forth, and the floodgates of the heavens were opened.

În al şase sutelea an al vieţii lui Noe, în a şaptesprezecea zi a lunii a doua, toate fântânile marelui adânc au ţâşnit, iar stăvilarele cerului s-au deschis.

And rain fell on the earth forty days and forty nights.

Ploaia a căzut pe pământ timp de patruzeci de zile şi patruzeci de nopţi.

On that very day Noah and his sons, Shem, Ham and Japheth, together with his wife and the wives of his three sons, entered the ark.

Noe, fiii săi, Sem, Ham şi Iafet, soţia sa, precum şi cele trei soţii ale fiilor săi au intrat în arcă în aceeaşi zi

They had with them every wild animal according to its kind, all livestock according to their kinds, every creature that moves along the ground according to its kind and every bird according to its kind, everything with wings.

şi împreună cu ei, toate vieţuitoarele potrivit felurilor lor, toate animalele potrivit felurilor lor, toate animalele mici care mişună pe pământ, potrivit felurilor lor şi toate păsările potrivit felurilor lor – toate păsările şi toate creaturile înaripate.

Pairs of all creatures that have the breath of life in them came to Noah and entered the ark.

Dintre toate creaturile care au suflare de viaţă în ele, au intrat în arca lui Noe două câte două.

The animals going in were male and female of every living thing, as God had commanded Noah. Then the Lord shut him in.

Animalele, mascul şi femelă dintre toate creaturile, au intrat în arca lui Noe, aşa cum Dumnezeu i-a poruncit acestuia; apoi Domnul l-a închis înăuntru.

For forty days the flood kept coming on the earth, and as the waters increased they lifted the ark high above the earth.

Potopul a ţinut patruzeci de zile pe pământ; apele au crescut şi au înălţat arca, iar ea s-a ridicat cu mult deasupra pământului.

The waters rose and increased greatly on the earth, and the ark floated on the surface of the water.

Apele s-au ridicat şi au crescut mult pe pământ, iar arca plutea deasupra apelor.

They rose greatly on the earth, and all the high mountains under the entire heavens were covered.

Apele s-au ridicat aşa de mult pe pământ, încât toţi munţii înalţi de sub cerul întreg au fost acoperiţi.

The waters rose and covered the mountains to a depth of more than fifteen cubits.^[a][b]

Apele s-au ridicat deasupra munţilor, acoperindu-i cu aproape cincisprezece coţi^[b].

Every living thing that moved on land perished—birds, livestock, wild animals, all the creatures that swarm over the earth, and all mankind.

Toate creaturile care mişunau pe pământ au pierit: păsări, vite, animale sălbatice, toate animalele mici care mişună pe pământ şi toţi oamenii.

Everything on dry land that had the breath of life in its nostrils died.

Toate creaturile de pe uscat, care aveau în nări suflare de viaţă, au murit.

Every living thing on the face of the earth was wiped out; people and animals and the creatures that move along the ground and the birds were wiped from the earth. Only Noah was left, and those with him in the ark.

Dumnezeu a şters de pe pământ toate vieţuitoarele: om şi vite, animale mici şi păsări ale văzduhului; toate au fost şterse de pe pământ. Doar Noe a rămas împreună cu cei care erau cu el în arcă.

The waters flooded the earth for a hundred and fifty days.

Apele au fost mari pe pământ timp de o sută cincizeci de zile.
