Verse 1

They brought the ark of God and set it inside the tent that David had pitched for it, and they presented burnt offerings and fellowship offerings before God.

Verse 2

After David had finished sacrificing the burnt offerings and fellowship offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the Lord.

Verse 3

Then he gave a loaf of bread, a cake of dates and a cake of raisins to each Israelite man and woman.

Verse 4

He appointed some of the Levites to minister before the ark of the Lord, to extol,^[a] thank, and praise the Lord, the God of Israel:

Asaph was the chief, and next to him in rank were Zechariah, then Jaaziel,^[b] Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Mattithiah, Eliab, Benaiah, Obed-Edom and Jeiel. They were to play the lyres and harps, Asaph was to sound the cymbals,

Verse 6

and Benaiah and Jahaziel the priests were to blow the trumpets regularly before the ark of the covenant of God.

Verse 7

That day David first appointed Asaph and his associates to give praise to the Lord in this manner:

Verse 8

Give praise to the Lord, proclaim his name;
make known among the nations what he has done.

Славьте Вечного, призывайте Его имя,
возвещайте народам о Его делах.

Verse 9

Sing to him, sing praise to him;
tell of all his wonderful acts.

Воспойте Ему, пойте Ему хвалу,
рассказывайте о всех Его чудесах.

Verse 10

Glory in his holy name;
let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice.

Хвалитесь Его святым именем,
пусть веселятся сердца ищущих Вечного.

Verse 11

Look to the Lord and his strength;
seek his face always.

Ищите Вечного и силу Его,
всегда ищите Его лица.

Verse 12

Remember the wonders he has done,
his miracles, and the judgments he pronounced,

Помните чудеса, которые Он сотворил,
знамения Его и суды, что Он произнёс,

Verse 13

you his servants, the descendants of Israel,
his chosen ones, the children of Jacob.

о потомки Исраила, раба Его,
о сыны Якуба, избранные Его!

Verse 14

He is the Lord our God;
his judgments are in all the earth.

Он – Вечный, наш Бог,
суды Его по всей земле.

Verse 15

He remembers^[c] his covenant forever,
the promise he made, for a thousand generations,

Вечно помните Его соглашение –
слово, данное Им для тысяч поколений, –

Verse 16

the covenant he made with Abraham,
the oath he swore to Isaac.

соглашение, заключённое с Ибрахимом,
и клятву, данную Исхаку.

Verse 17

He confirmed it to Jacob as a decree,
to Israel as an everlasting covenant:

Он поставил его Якубу законом,
Исраилу – вечным соглашением,

Verse 18

“To you I will give the land of Canaan
as the portion you will inherit.”

сказав: «Я отдам тебе ханаанскую землю
в удел твоего наследия».^[b]

Verse 19

When they were but few in number,
few indeed, and strangers in it,

Когда они были малочисленны и незначительны,
и были чужеземцами на этой земле,

Verse 20

they^[d] wandered from nation to nation,
from one kingdom to another.

то скитались от народа к народу
и из царства в царство.

Verse 21

He allowed no one to oppress them;
for their sake he rebuked kings:

Он никому не давал их притеснять
и укорял за них даже царей,

Verse 22

“Do not touch my anointed ones;
do my prophets no harm.”

говоря: «Не трогайте помазанников Моих,
и пророкам Моим не делайте зла».^[c]

Verse 23

Sing to the Lord, all the earth;
proclaim his salvation day after day.

Пойте Вечному, все жители земли,
говорите о Его спасении каждый день.

Verse 24

Declare his glory among the nations,
his marvelous deeds among all peoples.

Возвещайте славу Его среди народов,
чудеса Его – среди всех людей,

Verse 25

For great is the Lord and most worthy of praise;
he is to be feared above all gods.

потому что велик Вечный и достоин всякой хвалы;
Он внушает трепет более всех богов.

Verse 26

For all the gods of the nations are idols,
but the Lord made the heavens.

Все боги народов – лишь идолы,
а Вечный небеса сотворил.

Verse 27

Splendor and majesty are before him;
strength and joy are in his dwelling place.

Слава и величие перед Ним,
сила и радость под кровом Его.

Verse 28

Ascribe to the Lord, all you families of nations,
ascribe to the Lord glory and strength.

Воздайте Вечному, все народы,
воздайте Ему славу и силу,

Verse 29

Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name;
bring an offering and come before him.
Worship the Lord in the splendor of his^[e] holiness.

воздайте славу имени Вечного.
Принесите дары и предстаньте пред Ним;
прославьте Вечного в великолепии Его святости^[d].

Verse 30

Tremble before him, all the earth!
The world is firmly established; it cannot be moved.

Трепещи перед Ним, вся земля!
Прочно мир утверждён – не поколеблется.

Verse 31

Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad;
let them say among the nations, “The Lord reigns!”

Да возвеселятся небеса и возликует земля,
и да скажут народам: «Вечный правит!»

Verse 32

Let the sea resound, and all that is in it;
let the fields be jubilant, and everything in them!

Да восшумит море и всё, что в нём,
да возрадуется поле и всё, что на нём,

Verse 33

Let the trees of the forest sing,
let them sing for joy before the Lord,
for he comes to judge the earth.

и да возликуют деревья лесные,
возликуют перед Вечным,
ведь Он идёт судить землю.

Verse 34

Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good;
his love endures forever.

Славьте Вечного, потому что Он благ
и милость Его – навеки!

Verse 35

Cry out, “Save us, God our Savior;
gather us and deliver us from the nations,
that we may give thanks to your holy name,
and glory in your praise.”

Взывайте: «Спаси нас, Аллах, Спаситель наш,
собери нас, защити нас от народов,
чтобы славить нам Твоё святое имя
и Твоей славою хвалиться».

Verse 36

Praise be to the Lord, the God of Israel,
from everlasting to everlasting.

Then all the people said “Amen” and “Praise the Lord.”

Хвала Вечному, Богу Исраила,
от века и до века!

И весь народ сказал: «Аминь!»^[e] и «Хвала Вечному!»

Verse 37

David left Asaph and his associates before the ark of the covenant of the Lord to minister there regularly, according to each day’s requirements.

Давуд оставил Асафа и его сородичей перед сундуком, чтобы они служили там постоянно, в соответствии с нуждами каждого дня.

Verse 38

He also left Obed-Edom and his sixty-eight associates to minister with them. Obed-Edom son of Jeduthun, and also Hosah, were gatekeepers.

Ещё он оставил Овид-Эдома и шестьдесят восемь его сородичей, чтобы они служили вместе с ними. Овид-Эдом, сын Иедутуна, и Хоса были привратниками.

Verse 39

David left Zadok the priest and his fellow priests before the tabernacle of the Lord at the high place in Gibeon

Давуд оставил священнослужителя Цадока и его собратьев священнослужителей перед священным шатром Вечного в Гаваоне,

Verse 40

to present burnt offerings to the Lord on the altar of burnt offering regularly, morning and evening, in accordance with everything written in the Law of the Lord, which he had given Israel.

чтобы они постоянно приносили Вечному всесожжения на жертвеннике для всесожжений утром и вечером, так, как написано в Законе Вечного, который Он дал Исраилу.^[f]

Verse 41

With them were Heman and Jeduthun and the rest of those chosen and designated by name to give thanks to the Lord, “for his love endures forever.”

С ними были Еман и Иедутун с прочими избранными, которые были назначены поимённо, чтобы славить Вечного, ведь «милость Его – навеки».

Verse 42

Heman and Jeduthun were responsible for the sounding of the trumpets and cymbals and for the playing of the other instruments for sacred song. The sons of Jeduthun were stationed at the gate.

Еман и Иедутун отвечали за игру на трубах и тарелках, а также на прочих музыкальных инструментах, когда пелись песни Вечному. Сыновья Иедутуна были поставлены у ворот.

Verse 43

Then all the people left, each for their own home, and David returned home to bless his family.

Когда весь народ разошёлся по домам, вернулся и Давуд, чтобы благословить своих домашних.
