Zephaniah 3:8

“Therefore [you of the godly remnant of Judah, patiently] wait for Me,” declares the Lord,“[Wait] for the day when I rise up as a witness [against the nations].For it is My decision and My right to gather the nations,To assemble kingdoms,To pour out on them My indignation,All [the heat of] My burning anger;For [in that day] all the earth shall be consumedBy the fire of My zeal.

Therefore wait ye upon me, saith the Lord, until the day that I rise up to the prey: for my determination is to gather the nations, that I may assemble the kingdoms, to pour upon them mine indignation, even all my fierce anger: for all the earth shall be devoured with the fire of my jealousy.

“Well, if that’s what you want, stick around.” God’s Decree.“Your day in court is coming, but remember I’ll be there to bring evidence.I’ll bring all the nations to the courtroom, round up all the kingdoms,And let them feel the brunt of my anger, my raging wrath.My zeal is a fire that will purge and purify the earth. God Is in Charge at the Center9-13 “In the end I will turn things around for the people. I’ll give them a language undistorted, unpolluted,Words to address God in worship and, united, to serve me with their shoulders to the wheel.They’ll come from beyond the Ethiopian rivers, they’ll come praying—All my scattered, exiled people will come home with offerings for worship.You’ll no longer have to be ashamed of all those acts of rebellion.I’ll have gotten rid of your arrogant leaders. No more pious strutting on my holy hill!I’ll leave a core of people among you who are poor in spirit—What’s left of Israel that’s really Israel. They’ll make their home in God.This core holy people will not do wrong.They won’t lie, won’t use words to flatter or seduce.Content with who they are and where they are, unanxious, they’ll live at peace.” 14-15 So sing, Daughter Zion! Raise the rafters, Israel!Daughter Jerusalem, be happy! celebrate!God has reversed his judgments against you and sent your enemies off chasing their tails.From now on, God is Israel’s king, in charge at the center.There’s nothing to fear from evil ever again! God Is Present Among You16-17 Jerusalem will be told: “Don’t be afraid.Dear Zion, don’t despair.Your God is present among you, a strong Warrior there to save you.Happy to have you back, he’ll calm you with his love and delight you with his songs. 18-20 “The accumulated sorrows of your exile will dissipate.I, your God, will get rid of them for you. You’ve carried those burdens long enough.At the same time, I’ll get rid of all those who’ve made your life miserable.I’ll heal the maimed; I’ll bring home the homeless.In the very countries where they were hated they will be venerated.On Judgment Day I’ll bring you back home—a great family gathering!You’ll be famous and honored all over the world.You’ll see it with your own eyes— all those painful partings turned into reunions!” God’s Promise.

So wait for me to come as judge,” announces the Lord.“Wait for the day I will stand up to witness against all sinners.I have decided to gather the nations. I will bring the kingdoms together.And I will pour out all my burning anger on them. The fire of my jealous anger will burn the whole world up. Israel Will Trust in the Lord

Therefore, be patient,” says the Lord. “Soon I will stand and accuse these evil nations.For I have decided to gather the kingdoms of the earth and pour out my fiercest anger and fury on them.All the earth will be devoured by the fire of my jealousy.

لِذَلِكَ يَقُولُ الرَّبُّ: انْتَظِرُونِي لأَنِّي عَزَمْتُ فِي الْيَوْمِ الَّذِي أَقُومُ فِيهِ كَشَاهِدٍ أَنْ أَجْمَعَ الأُمَمَ وَأَحْشُدَ الْمَمَالِكَ لأَسْكُبَ عَلَيْهِمْ سَخَطِي وَاحْتِدَامَ غَضَبِي، لأَنَّ الأَرْضَ بِكَامِلِهَا سَتُؤْكَلُ بِنَارِ غَيْرَةِ غَيْظِي. استرداد بقية إسرائيل

Ich rufe alle Völker und Nationen zusammen, um mein Urteil an ihnen zu vollstrecken. Niemand wird meinem Zorn entrinnen, ja, mein leidenschaftlicher Zorn bricht los wie ein Feuer und verwüstet die ganze Welt. Darauf gebe ich, der Herr, mein Wort!« Neue Hoffnung für das Volk Israel

Mas diz o Senhor: esperem por mim! Está a chegar o tempo em que me levantarei e julgarei estas nações malignas. Já decidi juntar os reis da Terra e derramar sobre eles a minha indignação e todo o ardor da minha ira. Toda a Terra será consumida pelo fogo do meu zelo. Restauração de Israel e Jerusalém
