Zephaniah 2:14

Flocks will lie down in her midst,All the animals which range in herds;Both the pelican and the short-eared owlWill roost on the top of Nineveh’s pillars.Birds will sing in the window,Desolation will be on the threshold;For He has uncovered the cedar paneling.

تَرْبِضُ فِي وَسَطِهَا الْقُطْعَانُ وَسَائِرُ وُحُوشِ الْبَرِّ، وَيَأْوِي إِلَى تِيجَانِ أَعْمِدَتِهَا الْقُوقُ وَالْقُنْفُذُ وَيَنْعَبُ الْغُرَابُ عَلَى عَتَبَاتِهَا، لأَنَّ أَرْزَهَا قَدْ تَعَرَّى.

あの隆盛を誇っていた町は羊の牧草地となる。あらゆる野の獣がそこに住みつく。針ねずみは巣穴を掘り、はげたかやふくろうは宮殿の廃墟に住み、破れた窓で鳴く。からすは扉のところで鳴く。高価な杉の羽目板も、風雨にさらされたままになる。

소떼와 양떼와 온갖 짐승이 그 곳에 누울 것이며 올빼미와 고슴도치가 그 기둥 꼭대기에 깃들일 것이다. 그리고 새들이 창가에서 울고 문턱이 처량할 것이며 백향목 들보가 밖으로 노출될 것이다.

Todos os belos revestimentos em cedro ficarão expostos ao vento e às intempéries.
