“Until the day breaksAnd the shadows flee away,[In my thoughts] I will go my way to the mountain of myrrhAnd to the hill of frankincense.

I will go to the mountain of myrrh. I’ll go to the hill of incense.I’ll stay there until the day begins and the shadows fade away.

وَمَا يَكَادُ يَتَنَفَّسُ النَّهَارُ وَتَنْهَزِمُ الظِّلالُ حَتَّى أَنْطَلِقَ إِلَى جَبَلِ الْمُرِّ وَإِلَى تَلِّ اللُّبَانِ.

Når dagen bliver sval og skyggerne lange, vil jeg gå til myrrabjerget, til højen med den krydrede duft.

Abends, wenn es kühl wirdund die Nacht ihre Schatten über das Land breitet,will ich zu dir kommen – zu dem Hügel,der nach Myrrhe und Weihrauch duftet.
