“All of them handle the sword,All expert in war;Each man has his sword at his thigh,Guarding against the terrors of the night.

They all hold swords, being expert in war: every man hath his sword upon his thigh because of fear in the night.

“All of them are wielders of the sword,Expert in war;Each man has his sword at his side,Guarding against the [j]terrors of the night.

All of them are wearing swords. They have fought many battles.Each one has his sword at his side. Each is prepared for the terrors of the night.

جَمِيعُهُمْ مُدَجَّجُونَ بِالسُّيُوفِ مُتَمَرِّسُونَ عَلَى الْحَربِ، تَتَدَلَّى سُيُوفُهُمْ عَلَى جَوَانِبِهِمْ تَأَهُّباً لأَهْوَالِ اللَّيْلِ.
