Psalm 89:48

What man can live and not see death?Can he rescue his soul from the [powerful] hand of Sheol (the nether world, the place of the dead)? Selah.

What man is he that liveth, and shall not see death? shall he deliver his soul from the hand of the grave? Selah.

What man can live and not see death?Can he deliver his soul from the [af]power of [ag]Sheol? Selah.

Who can live and not die? Who can escape the power of the grave?

Who can live and not see death, or who can escape the power of the grave?

No one can live forever; all will die. No one can escape the power of the grave.[c] Interlude

أَيُّ إِنْسَانٍ يَحْيَا وَلَا يَرَى الْمَوْتَ؟ وَمَنْ يُنَجِّي نَفْسَهُ مِنْ قَبْضَةِ الْهَاوِيَةِ؟

Husk på, at mit liv er kort. Hvorfor skal mennesker være så magtesløse?

Bedenke doch, wie kurz mein Leben ist! Nur für einen flüchtigen Augenblick hast du uns Menschen geschaffen.

죽지 않고영원히 살 자가 어디 있으며무덤에 들어가지 않을 자가어디 있습니까?

谁能长生不死？谁能救自己脱离死亡的权势呢？（细拉）
