Psalm 78:18

And in their hearts they put God to the testBy asking for food according to their [selfish] appetite.

وَجَرَّبُوا اللهَ فِي قُلُوبِهِمْ، طَالِبِينَ طَعَاماً اشْتَهَتْهُ نُفُوسُهُمْ

De provokerede Gud med vilje, forlangte deres egyptiske livretter.

Sie forderten Gott heraus und verlangten von ihm die Speise, auf die sie gerade Lust hatten.
