Psalm 58:5

So that it does not listen to the voice of charmers,Or of the skillful enchanter casting [cunning] spells.

Which will not hearken to the voice of charmers, charming never so wisely.

So that it does not hear the voice of [g]charmers,Or a skillful caster of spells.

It won’t listen to a snake charmer’s tune, even if the charmer plays very well.

الَّتِي لَا تَسْمَعُ لِصَوْتِ الْحُوَاةِ، وَلَا لِصَوْتِ السَّاحِرِ الْمَاهِرِ.

I udspyr slangegift og vil ikke lytte til Gud. I ligner en døv kobra,

wie eine Viper voll von tödlichem Gift. Doch wenn es darauf ankommt, sich etwas sagen zu lassen, dann verschließen sie ihre Ohren,
