Psalm 49:12

But man, with all his [self] honor and pomp, will not endure;He is like the beasts that perish.

Nevertheless man being in honour abideth not: he is like the beasts that perish.

We aren’t immortal. We don’t last long. Like our dogs, we age and weaken. And die. 13-15 This is what happens to those who live for the moment, who only look out for themselves:Death herds them like sheep straight to hell; they disappear down the gullet of the grave;They waste away to nothing— nothing left but a marker in a cemetery.But me? God snatches me from the clutch of death, he reaches down and grabs me. 16-19 So don’t be impressed with those who get rich and pile up fame and fortune.They can’t take it with them; fame and fortune all get left behind.Just when they think they’ve arrived and folks praise them because they’ve made good,They enter the family burial plot where they’ll never see sunshine again.

But man in his [f]pomp will not endure;He is like the [g]beasts that [h]perish.

Even though people may be very rich, they don’t live on and on. They are like the animals. They die.

وَلَكِنَّ الإِنْسَانَ لَا يَخْلُدُ فِي أُبَّهَتِهِ. إِنَّهُ يُمَاثِلُ الْبَهَائِمَ الَّتِي تُبَادُ.

Selv om de er kendt og ejer både gods og guld, bliver graven deres hjem til slut, og de vender aldrig tilbage derfra.

Sie bilden sich ein, dass ihre Häuser für die Ewigkeit gebaut sindund alle Generationen überdauern. Aber es hilft ihnen nichts, selbst wenn sie ganze Länder besessen haben.[b]

しかし、どんなに栄華をきわめた人間でも、死ぬ時は動物とそう変わりません。

사람이 아무리영화를 누리며 살아도영원히 살 수는 없으니인간 역시 짐승처럼 죽기 마련이다.

Het ‘grootste’ wat zij tot stand brengen,is dat hun huizen jarenlang blijven staanen dat hun nageslacht daarin zal wonen.Of zij noemen hun land naar zichzelf.

O homem, mesmo que muito importante, não vive para sempre[c];é como os animais, que perecem.

Graven[a] förblir deras hem för evigt, deras boning generation efter generation, fastän de har uppkallat sina gods efter sig själva.

แต่มนุษย์ไม่ว่าจะร่ำรวยสักปานใดก็ไม่อาจมีชีวิตอยู่ได้ตลอดไปเขา[c]เหมือนสัตว์เดียรัจฉานที่ต้องจบชีวิตลง

人不能长享富贵，终必死去，与兽无异。

但 人 居 尊 贵 中 不 能 长 久 ， 如 同 死 亡 的 畜 类 一 样 。
