Psalm 44:14

You make us a byword among the nations,A [a]laughingstock among the people.

Thou makest us a byword among the heathen, a shaking of the head among the people.

You make us a byword among the nations,A [g]laughingstock among the peoples.

The nations make jokes about us. They shake their heads at us.

You have made us a byword among the nations; the peoples shake their heads at us.

تَجْعَلُنَا مَثَلاً بَيْنَ الأُمَمِ وَأُضْحُوكَةً بَيْنَ الشُّعُوبِ.
