Proverbs 23:6

Do not eat the bread of a selfish man,Or desire his delicacies;

Eat thou not the bread of him that hath an evil eye, neither desire thou his dainty meats:

Do not eat the bread of [d]a selfish man,Or desire his delicacies;

Don’t eat the food of anyone who doesn’t want to share it. Don’t long for his fancy food.

Do not eat the food of a begrudging host, do not crave his delicacies;

Do not eat the food of a stingy host, do not crave his delicacies;

Don’t eat with people who are stingy; don’t desire their delicacies.

لَا تَأْكُلْ مِنْ خُبْزِ رَجُلٍ بَخِيلٍ، وَلا تَشْتَهِ أَطَايِبَهُ،

Spis ikke ved gnierens bord, smag ikke på hans lækre mad.

Iss nicht mit einem Geizhals, sei nicht begierig nach seinen Leckerbissen,

No te sientes a la mesa de un tacaño,[c] ni codicies sus manjares,

Ne te laisse pas inviter par quelqu’un qui te regarde d’un mauvais œil,et ne convoite pas ses bons plats,

Indi ka magkaon ukon magkaibog sa pagkaon nga ginhanda sang kuripot nga tawo, bisan manamit pa ini.

[a]인색한 사람의 음식을 얻어먹지 말며 그가 베푼 것이 진수 성찬이라도 탐하지 말아라.

Eet niet bij een vrekkig en jaloers mens, staar u niet blind op al zijn heerlijke eten.

Não aceite a refeição de um hospedeiro invejoso[a],nem deseje as iguarias que lhe oferece;

Não fiques a dever favores a gente má;não cobices as suas concessões.

Nu mânca pâinea zgârcitului şi nu pofti delicatesele lui,

Не ешь пищи скареда23:6 Скаред – букв.: «у кого дурной глаз». На языке иудеев это выражение было фразеологическим оборотом, обозначающим жадного или завистливого человека (см. Мат. 20:15).и на лакомства его не зарься,

Ät inte den ondsintes[b] mat. Längta inte efter hans läckerheter.

อย่ากินอาหารของคนตระหนี่ถี่เหนียวอย่าปรารถนาสิ่งโอชะของเขา

不要吃吝啬人的饭， 不可贪图他的美味。

不 要 吃 恶 眼 人 的 饭 ， 也 不 要 贪 他 的 美 味 ；

不要吃吝嗇人的飯， 不可貪圖他的美味。
