Proverbs 21:2

Every man’s way is right in his own eyes,But the Lord weighs and examines the hearts [of people and their motives].

Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the Lord pondereth the hearts.

We justify our actions by appearances; God examines our motives.

جَمِيعُ تَصَرُّفَاتِ الإِنْسَانِ تَبْدُو نَقِيَّةً فِي عَيْنَيْ نَفْسِهِ، وَلَكِنَّ الرَّبَّ مُطَّلِعٌ عَلَى حَوَافِزِ الْقُلُوبِ.

Vi kan mene, at vi gør det rigtige, men Herren kender motiverne.

Der Mensch hält sein Handeln für richtig; aber der Herr prüft auch, was in seinem Herzen vorgeht.
