Numbers 24:20

Balaam looked at Amalek and took up his [fifth] discourse (oracle) and said:“Amalek was the first of the [neighboring] nations [to oppose the Israelites after they left Egypt],But his end shall be [e]destruction.”

And when he looked on Amalek, he took up his parable, and said, Amalek was the first of the nations; but his latter end shall be that he perish for ever.

Then Balaam spotted Amalek and delivered an oracle-message. He said,Amalek, you’re in first place among nations right now, but you’re going to come in last, ruined. 21-22 He saw the Kenites and delivered his oracle-message to them:Your home is in a nice secure place, like a nest high on the face of a cliff.Still, you Kenites will look stupid when Asshur takes you prisoner. 23-24 Balaam spoke his final oracle-message:Doom! Who stands a chance when God starts in?Sea-Peoples, raiders from across the sea, will harass Asshur and Eber,But they’ll also come to nothing, just like all the rest.

And he looked at Amalek and took up his discourse and said,“Amalek was the first of the nations,But his end shall be [v]destruction.”

Then Balaam saw the Amalekites. He spoke the message he had received from God. He said,“Amalek was the first nation to attack Israel. But their end will be total destruction.” Balaam’s Sixth Message From God

Then Balaam looked over toward the people of Amalek and delivered this message:“Amalek was the greatest of nations, but its destiny is destruction!”

ثُمَّ تَطَلَّعَ بَلْعَامُ نَحْوَ مَسَاكِنِ أَهْلِ عَمَالِيقَ فَتَنَبَّأَ: «كَانَ عَمَالِيقُ أَوَّلَ الشُّعُوبِ، أَمَّا عَاقِبَتُهُ فَإِلَى الْهَلاكِ».

Da vendte Bileam sig mod amalekitternes land og fortsatte:„Først var amalekitterne en stormagt, men de går undergangen i møde til sidst.”
