Numbers 22:11

‘Hear this, the people who came out of Egypt cover the surface of the land; come now, curse them for me. Perhaps I may be able to fight against them and drive them out.’”

Behold, there is a people come out of Egypt, which covereth the face of the earth: come now, curse me them; peradventure I shall be able to overcome them, and drive them out.

He said, ‘A nation has come out of Egypt. They are covering the whole surface of the land. So come and put a curse on them for me. Maybe I’ll be able to fight them. Maybe I’ll be able to drive them away.’ ”

هَا قَدْ خَرَجَ شَعْبٌ مِنْ مِصْرَ يُغَشِّي وَجْهَ الأَرْضِ. فَتَعَالَ الآنَ وَالْعَنْهُ لِي، لَعَلِّي أَقْدِرُ عَلَى مُحَارَبَتِهِ وَطَرْدِهِ».

„Kongen siger, at et mægtigt folk fra Egypten er på vej mod hans land, og han har bedt mig komme og forbande dem, så han kan få held til at besejre dem.”

Ein Volk aus Ägypten ist bei ihnen eingefallen und hat das ganze Land besetzt. Nun soll ich hingehen und diese Leute verfluchen. Balak hofft, dass er sie dann besiegen und vertreiben kann.«
