Malachi 2:16

“For I hate [a]divorce,” says the Lord, the God of Israel, “and him who covers his garment with wrong and violence,” says the Lord of hosts. “Therefore keep watch on your spirit, so that you do not deal treacherously [with your wife].”

For the Lord, the God of Israel, saith that he hateth putting away: for one covereth violence with his garment, saith the Lord of hosts: therefore take heed to your spirit, that ye deal not treacherously.

“I hate divorce,” says the God of Israel. God-of-the-Angel-Armies says, “I hate the violent dismembering of the ‘one flesh’ of marriage.” So watch yourselves. Don’t let your guard down. Don’t cheat.

“For I hate divorce!”[c] says the Lord, the God of Israel. “To divorce your wife is to overwhelm her with cruelty,[d]” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies. “So guard your heart; do not be unfaithful to your wife.”

وَيَقُولُ الرَّبُّ إِلَهُ إِسْرَائِيلَ: إِنِّي أَمْقُتُ الطَّلاقَ وَأَمْقُتُ أَنْ يُغَطِّيَ الرَّجُلُ زَوْجَتَهُ بِجَوْرِهِ، كَمَا يَتَغَطَّى هُوَ بِثَوْبِهِ. لِذَلِكَ احْتَرِسُوا عَلَى أَنْفُسِكُمْ وَلا تَنْكُثُوا عَهْداً. نقض العهد بممارسة الظلم
