Malachi 1:6

“‘A son honors his father, and a servant his master. Then if I am a Father, where is My honor? And if I am a Master, where is the [reverent] fear and respect due Me?’ says the Lord of hosts to you, O priests, who despise My name. But you say, ‘How and in what way have we despised Your name?’

A son honoureth his father, and a servant his master: if then I be a father, where is mine honour? and if I be a master, where is my fear? saith the Lord of hosts unto you, O priests, that despise my name. And ye say, Wherein have we despised thy name?

“Isn’t it true that a son honors his father and a worker his master? So if I’m your Father, where’s the honor? If I’m your Master, where’s the respect?” God-of-the-Angel-Armies is calling you on the carpet: “You priests despise me!“You say, ‘Not so! How do we despise you?’“By your shoddy, sloppy, defiling worship.“You ask, ‘What do you mean, “defiling”? What’s defiling about it?’ 7-8 “When you say, ‘The altar of God is not important anymore; worship of God is no longer a priority,’ that’s defiling. And when you offer worthless animals for sacrifices in worship, animals that you’re trying to get rid of—blind and sick and crippled animals—isn’t that defiling? Try a trick like that with your banker or your senator—how far do you think it will get you?” God-of-the-Angel-Armies asks you.

“‘A son honors his father, and a servant his master. Then if I am a father, where is My honor? And if I am a master, where is My [h]respect?’ says the Lord of hosts to you, O priests who despise My name. But you say, ‘How have we despised Your name?’

“A son honors his father. A slave honors his master. If I am a father, where is the honor I should have? If I am a master, where is the respect you should give me?” says the Lord who rules over all.“You priests look down on me.“But you ask, ‘How have we looked down on you?’

“A son honors his father, and a slave his master. If I am a father, where is the honor due me? If I am a master, where is the respect due me?” says the Lord Almighty.“It is you priests who show contempt for my name.“But you ask, ‘How have we shown contempt for your name?’

‘A son honours his father, and a slave his master. If I am a father, where is the honour due to me? If I am a master, where is the respect due to me?’ says the Lord Almighty.‘It is you priests who show contempt for my name.‘But you ask, “How have we shown contempt for your name?”

The Lord of Heaven’s Armies says to the priests: “A son honors his father, and a servant respects his master. If I am your father and master, where are the honor and respect I deserve? You have shown contempt for my name!“But you ask, ‘How have we ever shown contempt for your name?’

«إِنَّ الابْنَ يُكْرِمُ أَبَاهُ وَالْعَبْدَ سَيِّدَهُ. فَإِنْ كُنْتُ أَنَا حَقّاً أَباً فَأَيْنَ كَرَامَتِي؟ وَإِنْ كُنْتُ حَقّاً سَيِّداً فَأَيْنَ مَهَابَتِي؟» إِنَّ الرَّبَّ الْقَدِيرَ يَقُولُ لَكُمْ: «أَيُّهَا الْكَهَنَةُ الْمُزْدَرُونَ بِاسْمِي»؛ فَتَسْأَلُونَ: «كَيْفَ ازْدَرَيْنَا بِاسْمِكَ؟»

En søn ærer sin far, og en slave respekterer sin herre. Jeg er både jeres Far og Herre, men alligevel ærer og respekterer I mig ikke! I er mine præster, men I ringeagter mig!‚Hvordan har vi ringeagtet dig?’ spørger I.

Le Seigneur des armées célestes s’adresse à vous les prêtres, vous qui me méprisez : Un fils honore un père, un serviteur son maître. Si je suis votre père, où donc sont les honneurs qui me sont dus ? Si je suis votre maître, où est la crainte qui m’est due ? Et puis vous demandez : « En quoi t’avons-nous méprisé ? »

Nagsiling ang Ginoo nga Makagagahom sa mga pari, “Ang anak nagatahod sa iya amay, kag ang ulipon nagatahod sa iya agalon. Pero ngaa ako nga inyo amay kag agalon wala ninyo ginatahod? Ginapasipalahan pa ninyo ako. Pero nagapamangkot pa kamo, ‘Paano ka namon ginapasipalahan?’

「子は父を敬い、召使は主人を敬うものだ。わたしはあなたがたの父であり、また主人なのに、あなたがたはわたしを少しも敬わない。ああ、祭司たちよ、あなたがたはわたしの名をさげすんでいる。」「私たちがあなたを？いつあなたの名をさげすんだというのですか。」

전능하신 여호와께서 너희 제사장들에게 말씀하신다. “아들은 자기 아버지를 공경하고 종은 자기 주인을 공경하는 법이다. 내가 너희 아버지라면 어째서 너희는 나를 공경하지 않느냐? 내가 너희 주인이라면 어째서 너희는 나를 존경하지 않느냐? 너희는 나를 멸시하고서도 오히려 ‘우리가 어떻게 주의 이름을 멸시하였습니까?’ 하고 말한다.

En son hedrar sin far och en tjänare sin herre. Om jag är en far, var är min heder? Och om jag är en herre, var är min respekt? Detta säger härskarornas Herre till er präster, som föraktar mitt namn. Då frågar ni: ’På vilket sätt har vi föraktat ditt namn?’

万军之耶和华对祭司说：“儿子应当尊敬父亲，仆人应当敬畏主人。我是你们的父亲，但你们对我的尊敬在哪里呢？我是你们的主人，但你们对我的敬畏在哪里呢？你们藐视我的名，却狡辩说，‘我们在何事上藐视过你的名呢？’

藐 视 我 名 的 祭 司 啊 ， 万 军 之 耶 和 华 对 你 们 说 ： 儿 子 尊 敬 父 亲 ， 仆 人 敬 畏 主 人 ； 我 既 为 父 亲 ， 尊 敬 我 的 在 哪 里 呢 ？ 我 既 为 主 人 ， 敬 畏 我 的 在 哪 里 呢 ？ 你 们 却 说 ： 我 们 在 何 事 上 藐 视 你 的 名 呢 ？
