Lamentations 4:20

The breath of our nostrils, the anointed of the Lord [our king],Was captured in their snares,He of whom we had said, “Under his shadowWe shall live among the nations.”

The breath of our nostrils, the anointed of the Lord, was taken in their pits, of whom we said, Under his shadow we shall live among the heathen.

Our king, our life’s breath, the anointed of God, was caught in their traps—Our king under whose protection we always said we’d live.

Zedekiah, the Lord’s anointed king, was our last hope. But he was caught in their traps.We thought he would keep us safe. We expected to continue living among the nations.

وَقَعَ فِي حُفَرِهِمْ مَصْدَرُ حَيَاتِنَا، الْمَلِكُ الَّذِي اخْتَارَهُ الرَّبُّ، الَّذِي قُلْنَا: فِي ظِلِّهِ نَعِيشُ بَيْنَ الأُمَمِ.

Vores egen konge, Herrens udvalgte, gik lige i deres fælde, han, som vi troede kunne beskytte os fra enhver fjende.

Unseren König, den der Herr auserwählt hat,haben sie uns genommen, und mit ihm unser Leben!Dabei dachten wir, er würde uns vor den Völkern schützenwie ein Schatten vor der glühenden Sonne.

頼みの綱であった、主に油注がれた私たちの王は、敵の罠にかかって捕まりました。この偉大な王さえいれば、どんな国が来ても大丈夫だったのに。

여호와께서 택하신 자, 곧 우리의 생명과 같은 왕이 그들의 함정에 빠지고 말았네. 그는 우리가 세상의 모든 침략자들로부터 우리를 보호해 줄 것으로 믿었던 자인데 … … .

Onze koning—de adem van ons volksleven, de gezalfde van de Here—werd in hun valstrikken gevangen. Ja, zelfs onze machtige koning, van wie wij dachten dat wij onder zijn leiding rustig te midden van de volken zouden kunnen leven!

O ungido do Senhor, o próprio fôlego da nossa vida,foi capturado em suas armadilhas.E nós que pensávamos que sob a sua sombra viveríamos entre as nações!

O nosso rei, que nos é tão precioso como o ar que respiramos, o ungido do Senhor, caiu nas armadilhas. E nós pensávamos que sob a sua proteção podíamos viver entre as nações!

Vår livsande, Herrens smorde, fångades i deras snaror, han, i vars skugga vi hade tänkt att vi skulle få leva bland folken.

耶和华膏立的王——我们的生命之气落入他们的陷阱。我们原希望借他的荫庇立足于列国中。
