Lamentations 2:14

Your prophets have seen (imagined) for youFalse and foolish visions;And they have not exposed your wickednessTo restore you from captivity [by teaching you to repent],But they have seen (imagined) and declared to you false and misleading oracles.

Thy prophets have seen vain and foolish things for thee: and they have not discovered thine iniquity, to turn away thy captivity; but have seen for thee false burdens and causes of banishment.

Your prophets courted you with sweet talk. They didn’t face you with your sin so that you could repent. Their sermons were all wishful thinking, deceptive illusions.

The visions of your prophets were lies. They weren’t worth anything.They didn’t show you the sins you had committed. So that’s why you were captured.The messages they gave you were lies. They led you astray.

رَأَى لَكِ أَنْبِيَاؤُكِ رُؤىً بَاطِلَةً خَادِعَةً. لَمْ يَفْضَحُوا إِثْمَكِ لِيَرُدُّوا سَبْيَكِ. إِنَّمَا رَأَوْا لَكِ وَحْياً كَاذِباً مُضِلاً.

Ordene I hørte fra jeres såkaldte profeter, var falske. Hvis de havde påtalt jeres synd i stedet for at lyve, havde I måske kunnet undgå denne frygtelige skæbne.

預言者たちは、多くのまやかしを預言しました。あなたの罪を指摘して、何とかしてあなたが奴隷にならないようにしようと、努力することもありませんでした。うそを並べ立て、万事うまくいくと言ったのです。

Uw profeten hebben zoveel onwaarheden verkondigd, zoveel onzin. Zij hebben niet geprobeerd u van de slavernij te redden door u op uw zonden te wijzen. Zij logen en zeiden dat alles in orde was.

Dina profeter har sett syner för dig som varit falska och meningslösa. De har inte pekat på din skuld för att du skulle kunna vända från din fångenskap. Deras profetior har varit falska och förledande.
