The elders of the Daughter of ZionSit on the ground keeping silent;They have thrown dust on their heads,They have covered themselves with sackcloth.The virgins of JerusalemHave bowed their heads to the ground.

The elders of the daughter of Zion sit upon the ground, and keep silence: they have cast up dust upon their heads; they have girded themselves with sackcloth: the virgins of Jerusalem hang down their heads to the ground.

The elders of Daughter Zion sit silent on the ground. They throw dust on their heads, dress in rough penitential burlap— the young virgins of Jerusalem, their faces creased with the dirt.

يَجْلِسُ شُيُوخُ ابْنَةِ صِهْيَوْنَ عَلَى الأَرْضِ صَامِتِينَ. عَفَّرُوا بِالرَّمَادِ رُؤُوسَهُمْ، وَارْتَدَوْا الْمُسُوحَ، وَطَأْطَأَتْ عَذَارَى أُورُشَلِيمَ رُؤُوسَهُنَّ إِلَى الأَرْضِ.

Klædt i sæk og med aske på hovedet sidder de tilbageblevne ledere tavse på jorden. De unge kvinder går nedbøjede omkring.

Les responsables |du peuple de Sionsont assis sur le sol |et gardent le silence.Ils ont revêtu des habits |faits de toile de sac,et ils se sont jeté |de la poussière sur la tête[c].Les jeunes filles de Jérusalemcourbent la tête vers la terre.

Ang mga manugdumala sang Jerusalem[e] nagapungko sa duta nga wala gid nagahambal. Ginbutangan nila sang mga yab-ok ang ila mga ulo kag nagsuksok sila sang sako sa pagpakita sang ila pagpangasubo. Ang pamatan-on nga mga babayi sang Jerusalem nagaduko sa kahuya.

エルサレムの長老たちは、荒布をまとって地に座り、黙り込んでいます。彼らは悲しみ、失望して、頭にちりをかぶります。おとめたちも、恥ずかしがって頭を垂れます。

시온의 장로들은 아무 말 없이 땅에 주저앉아 티끌을 머리에 뒤집어쓰고 굵은 삼베 옷을 입었으며 예루살렘 처녀들은 땅으로 머리를 떨구었다.

De leiders van Jeruzalem dragen rouwkleding en zitten zwijgend op de grond. Zij gooien stof op hun hoofd, vertwijfeld en bedroefd als zij zijn. De jonge vrouwen van Jeruzalem laten beschaamd hun hoofd hangen.

Os líderes da cidade de Sião sentam-se no chão em silêncio;despejam pó sobre a cabeça e usam vestes de lamento.As moças de Jerusalém inclinam a cabeça até o chão.

Dotter Sions äldste sitter tysta på marken. De har kastat stoft på sina huvuden, de är klädda i säcktyg. Jerusalems unga kvinnor har böjt sina huvuden mot jorden.
