Judges 20:32

And the Benjamites said, “They are defeated before us, as at the first.” But the sons of Israel said, “Let us flee and lure them away from the city to the highways.”

And the children of Benjamin said, They are smitten down before us, as at the first. But the children of Israel said, Let us flee, and draw them from the city unto the highways.

The Benjaminites started bragging, “We’re dropping them like flies, just as before!”

The sons of Benjamin said, “They are struck down before us, as at the first.” But the sons of Israel said, “Let us flee that we may draw them away from the city to the highways.”

The men of Benjamin said, “We’re winning the battle over them, just as we did before.” But the men of Israel said, “Let’s pull back. Let’s draw them away from the city to the roads.”

While the Benjamites were saying, “We are defeating them as before,” the Israelites were saying, “Let’s retreat and draw them away from the city to the roads.”

وَاعْتَقَدَ بَنُو بِنْيَامِينَ أَنَّ الإِسْرَائِيلِيِّينَ مُنْهَزِمُونَ أَمَامَهُمْ كَمَا حَدَثَ سَابِقاً، فِي حِينِ أَنَّ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ تَظَاهَرُوا بِالْهَرَبِ أَمَامَهُمْ قَائِلِينَ: «لِنَجْتَذِبْهُمْ بَعِيداً عَنِ الْمَدِينَةِ إِلَى الطُّرُقِ».
