Judges 2:12

and they abandoned the Lord, the God of their fathers, who brought them out of the land of Egypt. They followed other gods from the gods of the peoples who were around them, and they bowed down to them, and offended and provoked the Lord to anger.

وَنَبَذُوا الرَّبَّ إِلَهَ آبَائِهِمِ الَّذِي أَخْرَجَهُمْ مِنْ دِيَارِ مِصْرَ، وَغَوَوْا وَرَاءَ آلِهَةٍ أُخْرَى مِنْ أَوْثَانِ الشُّعُوبِ الْمُحِيطَةِ بِهِمْ، وَسَجَدُوا لَهَا، فَأَغَاظُوا الرَّبَّ.

und wandten sich ab vom Herrn, dem Gott ihrer Vorfahren, der ihr Volk aus Ägypten befreit hatte. Den Götzen der Völker ringsum liefen sie nach und beteten sie an. Damit forderten sie den Zorn des Herrn heraus.
