John 5:39

[h]You search and keep on searching and examining the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; and yet it is those [very Scriptures] that testify about Me;

Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.

»Vosotros escudriñáis las Escrituras pensando que en ellas vais a encontrar la vida eterna. Ellas son las que dan testimonio de mí,

You study the Scriptures carefully. You study them because you think they will give you eternal life. The Scriptures you study are a witness about me.

You study[c] the Scriptures diligently because you think that in them you have eternal life. These are the very Scriptures that testify about me,

أَنْتُمْ تَدْرُسُونَ الْكُتُبَ لأَنَّكُمْ تَعْتَقِدُونَ أَنَّهَا سَتَهْدِيكُمْ إِلَى الْحَيَاةِ الأَبَدِيَّةِ. هذِهِ الْكُتُبُ تَشْهَدُ لِي،

Ginatun-an ninyo pag-ayo ang Kasulatan kay nagahuna-huna kamo nga sa ingon niini nga pamaagi maangkon ninyo ang kinabuhi nga walay kataposan. Ang Kasulatan mao ang nagapamatuod mahitungod kanako.

Zkoumáte Písmo a domníváte se, že jeho plněním získáte věčný život. Ale i ono svědčí o mně.

Skriften fortæller også om mig. I studerer Skriften, fordi I tror, at I finder det evige liv dér. Og selv om Skriften fortæller om mig,

Ihr durchforscht die Heilige Schrift, weil ihr meint, in ihr das ewige Leben zu finden. Und tatsächlich weist gerade sie auf mich hin.

Vocês estudam cuidadosamente[e] as Escrituras, porque pensam que nelas vocês têm a vida eterna. E são as Escrituras que testemunham a meu respeito;

Examinam as Escrituras, porque creem que vos trarão a vida eterna, e são elas que apontam para mim.

Voi cercetaţi Scripturile deoarece credeţi că în ele aveţi viaţă veşnică, dar tocmai[g] acestea sunt cele care depun mărturie despre Mine!
