You whose garments are hot,When He quiets the earth [in sultry summer] with the [oppressive] south wind?

How thy garments are warm, when he quieteth the earth by the south wind?

You whose garments are hot,When the land is still because of the south wind?

Even your clothes are too hot for you when the land lies quiet under the south wind.

You who swelter in your clothes when the land lies hushed under the south wind,

When you are sweltering in your clothes and the south wind dies down and everything is still,

أَنْتَ يَا مَنْ تَسْخُنُ ثِيَابُهُ عِنْدَمَا تَرِينُ سَكِينَةٌ عَلَى الأَرْضِ بِتَأْثِيرِ رِيحِ الْجَنُوبِ.

Du, som lider under den brændende sol, når søndenvinden bringer en hedebølge,

Du schwitzt ja schon,wenn die drückende Hitze des Südwinds auf dem Land liegt.
