Job 31:16

“If I have withheld from the poor what they desired,Or have caused the eyes of the widow to look in vain [for relief],

If I have withheld the poor from their desire, or have caused the eyes of the widow to fail;

“If I have kept the poor from their desire,Or have caused the eyes of the widow to fail,

“I haven’t said no to what poor people have wanted. I haven’t let widows lose their hope.

“If I have denied the desires of the poor or let the eyes of the widow grow weary,

‘If I have denied the desires of the poor or let the eyes of the widow grow weary,

“Have I refused to help the poor, or crushed the hopes of widows?

إِنْ كُنْتُ قَدْ مَنَعْتُ عَنِ الْمِسْكِينِ مَا يَطْلُبُهُ، أَوْ أَوْهَنْتُ عَيْنَيِ الأَرْمَلَةِ مِنْ فَرْطِ الْبُكَاءِ،

Har jeg nægtet de fattige hjælp eller taget håbet fra de sørgende enker?

Niemals habe ich die Bitte eines Armen abgeschlagenund keine Witwe weggeschickt,die verzweifelt zu mir kam.

Me suis-je donc soustrait |aux requêtes des pauvres,ou bien ai-je déçu |le regard plein d’espoir des veuves ?

“Kon wala ako nagbulig sa mga imol kag sa mga balo nga babayi nga nalisdan,

私が貧しい人を傷つけ、未亡人を泣かせたことがあるだろうか。

“나는 가난한 자의 소원을 거절하거나 과부를 실망시킨 적이 없으며

Als ik de armen verdriet heb gedaan en weduwen reden tot huilen heb gegeven,

“Se não atendi os desejos do pobre,ou se fatiguei os olhos da viúva,

Se alguma vez prejudiquei os pobresou fiz chorar viúvas,

Dacă n-am dat celui sărac ce-mi cerea sau dacă am făcut să se mâhnească ochii văduvei,

Если я бедным отказывал в просьбах и печалил глаза вдовы,

Har jag nekat de fattiga deras önskan eller gjort änkans ögon sorgsna?

我何曾拒绝穷人的请求，或使寡妇眼露失望之情，

我 若 不 容 贫 寒 人 得 其 所 愿 ， 或 叫 寡 妇 眼 中 失 望 ，
