Job 29:21

“They listened to me and waitedAnd kept silent for my counsel.

Unto me men gave ear, and waited, and kept silence at my counsel.

“To me they listened and waited,And kept silent for my counsel.

“People wanted to hear what I had to say. They waited silently for the advice I gave them.

“People listened to me expectantly, waiting in silence for my counsel.

“Everyone listened to my advice. They were silent as they waited for me to speak.

يَسْتَمِعُ النَّاسُ لِي وَيَنْتَظِرُونَ، وَيَصْمُتُونَ مُنْصِتِينَ لِمَشُورَتِي.

Folk spurgte mig til råds og lyttede opmærksomt, de ventede spændt på, hvad jeg havde at sige.

Ja, auf mich hörten alle Leute,sie warteten schweigend auf meinen Rat.

Alors on m’écoutait[f] |attendant mon aviset l’on faisait silence |pour avoir mon conseil.

Nagahipos ang mga tawo kag nagapamati sing maayo sa akon mga laygay.

だれもが私のことばに耳を傾け、私の意見を尊重した。人々は私が発言するまで静粛そのものだった。

Iedereen luisterde naar mij en stelde prijs op mijn advies. Als ik sprak, zweeg iedereen vol verwachting.

“Os homens me escutavam em ansiosa expectativa,aguardando em silêncio o meu conselho.

Toda a gente me ouvia com atenção e aceitava o meu conselho;ninguém mais abria a boca, enquanto eu falava.

Toţi mă ascultau şi aşteptau, tăceau aşteptând sfatul meu.

Förväntansfullt lyssnade man till mig då, väntade tyst på mina råd.
