Jeremiah 48:32

“O vines of Sibmah, I will weep for youMore than the weeping of Jazer [over its ruins and wasted vineyards].Your tendrils [of influence] stretched across the sea,Reaching [even] to the sea of Jazer.The destroyer has fallenOn your summer fruits and your [season’s] crop of grapes.

O vine of Sibmah, I will weep for thee with the weeping of Jazer: thy plants are gone over the sea, they reach even to the sea of Jazer: the spoiler is fallen upon thy summer fruits and upon thy vintage.

“More than the weeping for JazerI will weep for you, O vine of Sibmah!Your tendrils stretched across the sea,They reached to the sea of Jazer;Upon your summer fruits and your grape harvestThe destroyer has fallen.

I weep for you as Jazer weeps, you vines of Sibmah.Your branches used to spread out. They went all the way down to the Dead Sea. They reached as far as the sea of Jazer.The one who destroys your country has taken away your grapes and ripe fruit.

أَبْكِي عَلَيْكِ أَكْثَرَ مِنَ الْبُكَاءِ عَلَى يَعْزِيرَ يَا جَفْنَةَ سَبْمَةَ الَّتِي امْتَدَّتْ فُرُوعُهَا حَتَّى الْبَحْرِ، بَلْ بَلَغَتْ بَحْرَ يَعْزِيرَ، فَإِنَّ الْمُدَمِّرَ قَدِ انْقَضَّ عَلَى حَصَادِكِ النَّاضِجِ وَقِطَافِكِ.
