Jeremiah 46:8

Egypt rises like the Nile,Even like the rivers whose waters surge about.And [c]He has said, “I will rise, I will cover that land;I will certainly destroy the city and its inhabitants.”

Egypt riseth up like a flood, and his waters are moved like the rivers; and he saith, I will go up, and will cover the earth; I will destroy the city and the inhabitants thereof.

تَتَعَالَى مِصْرُ كَفَيَضَانِ النِّيلِ، كَالأَنْهَارِ الْمُتَلاطِمَةِ الأَمْوَاجِ. تَقُولُ: أَفِيضُ وَأَغْمُرُ الأَرْضَ، أَهْدِمُ الْمُدُنَ وَأُهْلِكُ سُكَّانَهَا.

Egypterne havde i tanke at oversvømme jorden som en flodbølge og løbe befæstede byer over ende.

Ina amo ang Egipto; nagagamhanan ini pareho sang Suba sang Nilo nga nagataas ang tubig hasta sa pangpang. Nagsiling ang Egipto, ‘Nagagamhanan ako kag mangin pareho sa baha nga magatabon sa kalibutan. Laglagon ko ang mga siyudad kag mga katawhan sini.’

Egypten stiger som Nilfloden, som strömmar av vatten som väller fram. Han säger: ’Jag vill stiga och täcka hela jorden, förgöra städer och dem som bor där.’

อียิปต์พุ่งขึ้นเหมือนลำน้ำไนล์เหมือนแม่น้ำที่เชี่ยวกรากอียิปต์คุยโอ่ว่า ‘ข้าจะพุ่งขึ้นปกคลุมโลกข้าจะทำลายนครต่างๆ และประชากรของนครเหล่านั้น’
