Jeremiah 4:22

“For My people are stupid and foolish,” [says the Lord to Jeremiah];“They do not know Me;They are foolish childrenAnd have no understanding.They are shrewd [enough] to do evil,But they do not know [how] to do good.”

For my people is foolish, they have not known me; they are sottish children, and they have none understanding: they are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge.

“What fools my people are! They have no idea who I am.A company of half-wits, dopes and donkeys all!Experts at evil but klutzes at good.” 23-26 I looked at the earth— it was back to pre-Genesis chaos and emptiness.I looked at the skies, and not a star to be seen.I looked at the mountains— they were trembling like aspen leaves,And all the hills rocking back and forth in the wind.I looked—what’s this! Not a man or woman in sight, and not a bird to be seen in the skies.I looked—this can’t be! Every garden and orchard shriveled up. All the towns were ghost towns.And all this because of God, because of the blazing anger of God. 27-28 Yes, this is God’s Word on the matter: “The whole country will be laid waste— still it won’t be the end of the world.The earth will mourn and the skies lamentBecause I’ve given my word and won’t take it back. I’ve decided and won’t change my mind.” You’re Not Going to Seduce Anyone

The Lord says, “My people are foolish. They do not know me.They are children who do not have any sense. They have no understanding at all.They are skilled in doing what is evil. They do not know how to do what is good.”

«إِنَّ قَوْمِي حَمْقَى لَا يَعْرِفُونَنِي. هُمْ أَبْنَاءٌ أَغْبِيَاءُ مُجَرَّدُونَ مِنَ الْفَهْمِ، حَاذِقُونَ فِي ارْتِكَابِ الشَّرِّ، وَجُهَلاءُ فِي صُنْعِ الْخَيْرِ».

Herren svarede: „Det sker, fordi mit folk har opført sig tåbeligt. De har vendt mig ryggen. De opfører sig som uartige børn, der ikke har andet i hovedet end at udtænke ondskabsfulde planer. De forstår ikke, hvad det vil sige at gøre det gode.”

Der Herr spricht: »Mein Volk ist töricht und verbohrt, sie wollen mich nicht kennen. Sie sind wie unverständige und dumme Kinder. Böses zu tun, damit kennen sie sich aus, aber wie man Gutes tut, das wissen sie nicht!«

“내 백성은 미련하여 나를 알지 못하며 지각 없는 자식과 같아서 그들에게는 총명함이 없구나. 그들이 악을 행하는 데는 약삭빠르면서도 선을 행하는 데는 무지하다.”

‘Mijn volk is dom, want het weigert naar Mij te luisteren. Het zijn dwaze kinderen die niets begrijpen. Zij zijn intelligent genoeg om kwaad te kunnen doen, maar voor het doen van het goede hebben zij geen enkele aanleg.’

“O meu povo é tolo, eles não me conhecem”.“São crianças insensatas que nada compreendem.São hábeis para praticar o mal, mas não sabem fazer o bem.”

“Até que o meu povo deixe a sua loucura, visto que já não me conhece! São como atrasados mentais que não compreendem nada! Para a prática do mal são perspicazes e argutos, mas para praticar a justiça não têm talento nenhum!”

”Mitt folk är dumt, de känner mig inte. De är barn utan förstånd och fattar ingenting. De har vishet nog att göra det onda men ingen kunskap att göra det goda.”

耶和华说：“我的子民愚顽，不认识我，是蒙昧无知的儿女，只知行恶，不知行善。”

耶 和 华 说 ： 我 的 百 性 愚 顽 ， 不 认 识 我 ； 他 们 是 愚 昧 无 知 的 儿 女 ， 有 智 慧 行 恶 ， 没 有 知 识 行 善 。

耶和華說：「我的子民愚頑，不認識我，是蒙昧無知的兒女，只知行惡，不知行善。」
