Jeremiah 38:4

Therefore the princes (court officials) said to the king, “Please [we implore you] let this man [Jeremiah] be put to death; for [speaking] in this way he discourages and weakens [the will of] the soldiers who remain in this city and he discourages and weakens [the will of] all the people by speaking such words to them; for this man is not seeking the well-being of these people, but rather their harm.”

Therefore the princes said unto the king, We beseech thee, let this man be put to death: for thus he weakeneth the hands of the men of war that remain in this city, and the hands of all the people, in speaking such words unto them: for this man seeketh not the welfare of this people, but the hurt.

These officials told the king, “Please, kill this man. He’s got to go! He’s ruining the resolve of the soldiers who are still left in the city, as well as the people themselves, by spreading these words. This man isn’t looking after the good of this people. He’s trying to ruin us!”

Then the officials said to the king, “Now let this man be put to death, inasmuch as he is [a]discouraging the men of war who are left in this city and [b]all the people, by speaking such words to them; for this man is not seeking the well-being of this people but rather their harm.”

Then these officials said to the king, “This man should be put to death. What he says is making the soldiers who are left in this city lose hope. It’s making all the people lose hope too. He isn’t interested in what is best for the people. In fact, he’s trying to destroy them.”

Then the officials said to the king, “This man should be put to death. He is discouraging the soldiers who are left in this city, as well as all the people, by the things he is saying to them. This man is not seeking the good of these people but their ruin.”

So these officials went to the king and said, “Sir, this man must die! That kind of talk will undermine the morale of the few fighting men we have left, as well as that of all the people. This man is a traitor!”

فَقَالَ رُؤَسَاءُ الْبِلادِ لِلْمَلِكِ: «يَجِبُ إِعْدَامُ هَذَا الرَّجُلِ، لأَنَّهُ يُثَبِّطُ عَزِيمَةَ الْمُحَارِبِينَ الْبَاقِينَ فِي هَذِهِ الْمَدِينَةِ وَعَزِيمَةَ سَائِرِ الشَّعْبِ، لأَنَّهُ يُخَاطِبُهُمْ بِمِثْلِ هَذَا الْكَلامِ. فَهَذَا الرَّجُلُ لَا يَلْتَمِسُ لِهَذَا الشَّعْبِ خَيْراً بَلْ شَرّاً».

De fire mænd gik til kongen og sagde: „Herre, vi må uskadeliggøre Jeremias. Hans budskaber undergraver hærens moral. Han skaber en negativ stemning blandt de krigere, vi endnu har tilbage, og hele befolkningen i byen. Han er en forræder, som ikke ønsker, at vi skal reddes, men at vi skal rammes af ulykke.”

Da sagten die obersten Beamten zum König: »Man sollte diesen Mann hinrichten! Mit seinen Worten raubt er den wenigen Soldaten, die uns geblieben sind, den letzten Mut und ebenso allen anderen Menschen in der Stadt! Jeremia will uns nicht helfen, sondern nur schaden!«

Los jefes le dijeron al rey:―Hay que matar a este hombre. Con semejantes discursos está desmoralizando a los soldados y a todo el pueblo que aún queda en esta ciudad. Este hombre no busca el bien del pueblo, sino su desgracia.

Alors les ministres dirent au roi : Il faut faire mourir cet homme, car ses propos démoralisent les soldats qui restent encore dans cette ville, ainsi que toute la population. Cet homme-là ne cherche pas le bien du peuple, il ne veut que son malheur.

Gani ato nga mga opisyal nagsiling sa hari, “Dapat patyon ini nga tawo. Ginapaluya lang niya ang mga soldado nga nabilin sa sini nga siyudad, pati ang tanan nga tawo, tungod sang iya ginapanghambal sa ila. Wala siya nagahandom sang kaayuhan sang mga tawo kundi sang ila kalaglagan.”

これを聞いた四人は王のところへ行き、こう進言しました。「あの男を生かしておいてはいけません。あんなことを言われたら、わずかしか残っていない兵士と民衆の士気は、くじかれてしまいます。あの男は裏切り者なのです。」

그러자 대신들이 왕에게 가서 이렇게 말하였다. “이 사람을 죽여야 합니다. 그가 이 성에 남아 있는 병사들과 모든 사람들의 사기를 저하시키고 있습니다. 그는 이 백성을 도우려고 하는 것이 아니라 오히려 이 백성을 해치려고 합니다.”

Daarom gingen zij naar de koning en zeiden: ‘Majesteit, deze man moet sterven. Dergelijke taal ondermijnt het moreel van de weinige soldaten die we nog hebben en van alle inwoners. Hij is niet op vrede uit, maar op de ondergang van ons volk.’

Då sa furstarna till kungen: ”Den mannen måste dö. Han gör ju soldaterna som finns kvar i denna stad och allt folket missmodiga, när han talar så till dem. Denne man söker inte folkets väl utan dess fördärv.”

ขุนนางเหล่านี้ก็มาทูลกษัตริย์ว่า “ชายคนนี้สมควรตาย เขาพูดทำลายขวัญของทหารซึ่งยังเหลืออยู่ในกรุงนี้ตลอดจนประชาชนทั้งปวง ชายคนนี้ไม่ได้คิดถึงประโยชน์สุขของประชาชน แต่บ่อนทำลาย”

这几位官长就对西底迦王说：“求你处死这人！因为他的话令这城的军民士气低落。这人不为人民着想，反要害他们。”

於 是 首 领 对 王 说 ： 求 你 将 这 人 治 死 ； 因 他 向 城 里 剩 下 的 兵 丁 和 众 民 说 这 样 的 话 ， 使 他 们 的 手 发 软 。 这 人 不 是 求 这 百 姓 得 平 安 ， 乃 是 叫 他 们 受 灾 祸 。

這幾位官長就對西底迦王說：「求你處死這人！因為他的話令這城的軍民士氣低落。這人不為人民著想，反要害他們。」
