Jeremiah 21:7

Then afterward,” says the Lord, “I will hand over Zedekiah king of Judah and his servants and the people in this city who survive the virulent disease, the sword, and the famine, to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and into the hand of their enemy, into the hand of those who seek their lives. And he will strike them with the edge of the sword; he will not spare them nor have mercy and compassion on them.”’

And afterward, saith the Lord, I will deliver Zedekiah king of Judah, and his servants, and the people, and such as are left in this city from the pestilence, from the sword, and from the famine, into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, and into the hand of their enemies, and into the hand of those that seek their life: and he shall smite them with the edge of the sword; he shall not spare them, neither have pity, nor have mercy.

Then afterwards,” declares the Lord, “I will give over Zedekiah king of Judah and his servants and the people, even those who survive in this city from the pestilence, the sword and the famine, into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and into the hand of their foes and into the hand of those who seek their lives; and he will strike them down with the edge of the sword. He will not spare them nor have pity nor compassion.”’

After that, I will hand you over to your enemies. They want to kill you,” announces the Lord. “I will hand over Zedekiah, the king of Judah, and his officials. I will also hand over the people in this city who live through the plague, war and hunger. All of them will be handed over to Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon. He will kill them with swords. He will show them no mercy. He will not feel sorry for them. In fact, he will not have any concern for them at all.” ’

وَأُسْلِمُ صِدْقِيَّا مَلِكَ يَهُوذَا وَخُدَّامَهُ وَمَنْ بَقِيَ مِنْ أَهْلِ هَذِهِ الْمَدِينَةِ، النَّاجِينَ مِنَ الْوَبَأ وَالسَّيْفِ وَالْجُوعِ، إِلَى يَدِ نَبُوخَذْنَصَّرَ مَلِكِ بَابِلَ، وَإِلَى أَيْدِي أَعْدَائِهِمْ وَطَالِبِي نُفُوسِهِمْ، فَيَقْتُلُهُمْ بِحَدِّ السَّيْفِ، وَلا يَرْثِي لَهُمْ وَلا يَشْفُقُ أَوْ يَرْحَمُ.

Derefter vil jeg overgive kong Zidkija, hans embedsmænd og de overlevende indbyggere til kong Nebukadnezar, som vil slå dem ned uden medfølelse eller barmhjertighed.

König Zedekia von Juda werde ich in die Gewalt des babylonischen Königs Nebukadnezar geben, zusammen mit seinen obersten Beamten und den Einwohnern der Stadt, die von Seuchen, Hunger und dem Schwert der Feinde verschont geblieben sind. Après cela – l’Eternel le déclare – je livrerai Sédécias, roi de Juda, ses fonctionnaires et la population de cette ville qui aura survécu à la peste, à l’épée et à la famine, je les livrerai à Nabuchodonosor, roi de Babylone, à leurs ennemis et à ceux qui en veulent à leur vie. Nabuchodonosor les fera massacrer par l’épée ; il ne les épargnera pas, il sera sans pitié pour eux et n’aura aucune compassion.
