Jeremiah 2:23

“How can you say, ‘I am not defiled,I have not gone after [man-made gods like] the Baals’?Look at your way in the valley;Know [without any doubt] what you have done!You are a swift and restless young [female] camel [in the heat of her passion] running here and there,

How canst thou say, I am not polluted, I have not gone after Baalim? see thy way in the valley, know what thou hast done: thou art a swift dromedary traversing her ways;

“How can you say, ‘I am not defiled,I have not gone after the Baals’?Look at your way in the valley!Know what you have done!You are a swift young camel entangling her ways,

“You say, ‘I am “clean.” I haven’t followed the gods that are named Baal.’How can you say that? Remember how you acted in the valley.Consider what you have done. You are like a female camel running quickly here and there.

“How can you say, ‘I am not defiled; I have not run after the Baals’?See how you behaved in the valley; consider what you have done.You are a swift she-camel running here and there,

“You say, ‘That’s not true! I haven’t worshiped the images of Baal!’But how can you say that? Go and look in any valley in the land!Face the awful sins you have done. You are like a restless female camel desperately searching for a mate.

كَيْفَ تَقُولِينَ: لَمْ أَتَدَنَّسْ وَلَمْ أَذْهَبْ وَرَاءَ الْبَعْلِ؟ تَأَمَّلِي فِي طَرِيقِكِ فِي وَادِي هِنُّومَ، وَاعْرِفِي مَا ارْتَكَبْتِ أَيَّتُهَا النَّاقَةُ الْجَامِحَةُ الْهَائِمَةُ فِي طُرُقِهَا بَحْثاً عَنْ جَمَلٍ.

Hvordan kan I påstå, at I aldrig har gjort jer urene med afgudsdyrkelse, at I aldrig har ofret til Ba’al? Tænk dog på, hvad I gjorde i Hinnoms dal.[a] I farer fra den ene afgud til den anden som en brunstig hunkamel.

Wie kannst du da behaupten: ›Ich habe nichts getan! Niemals bin ich anderen Göttern nachgelaufen‹? Führ dir doch vor Augen, was du da unten im Hinnomtal treibst, denk über deine Taten nach! Du bist wie eine brünstige Kamelstute, die ständig hin und her läuft,

»¿Cómo puedes decir: “No me he contaminado, ni me he ido tras los baales”?¡Considera tu conducta en el valle! ¡Reconoce lo que has hecho!¡Camella ligera de cascos, que no puedes quedarte quieta!

Comment oses-tu dire : |« Je ne me suis jamais souillée,je ne suis pas allée |après les Baals » ?Va observer dans la vallée[k] |les traces de tes pas !Reconnais ce que tu as fait,chamelle écervelée, |qui vagabonde |dans tous les sens,

“Paano kamo makasiling nga wala kamo mahigkui kag wala kamo nagsimba sa mga imahen ni Baal? Hunahunaa ninyo kon ano nga pagpakasala ang ginhimo ninyo sa pulopatag sang Hinom. Talupangda ang sala nga inyo nahimo. Pareho kamo sa isa ka babayi nga kamelyo nga nagapahigal,[d] nga wala nagapahimunong.

「それでもなお、そんなはずはない、偶像を拝んだ覚えなどない、と言いはるのか。なぜ、そんなことが言えるのか。試しに、この国のどの谷へでも行ってみよ。必死に雄を探し求める雌のらくだよ、おまえの犯した恐ろしい罪を直視せよ。

네가 어떻게 자신을 더럽히지 않고 바알을 섬기지 않았다고 말할 수 있느냐? 골짜기에 있는 길을 보아라. 네가 행한 일을 알게 될 것이다. 너는 정신 없이 이리저리 뛰어다니는 암낙타 같고

‘U ontkent dat u afgoden hebt aanbeden! Hoe kunt u zoiets zeggen? Ga maar eens kijken in de dalen! Laat de vreselijke zonden die u hebt gedaan, maar eens goed op u inwerken. U lijkt op een rusteloze vrouwtjeskameel!

“Como você pode dizer que não se contaminou e que não correu atrás dos baalins?Reveja o seu procedimento no valee considere o que você tem feito.Você é como uma camela jovem e arisca que corre para todos os lados;

Vocês dizem que não, que não é assim, que não têm adorado ídolos de Baal. Mas como é que podem afirmar uma coisa dessas? Vão ver, em cada vale da terra! Encarem bem os terríveis pecados que têm praticado. Vocês são como camelas ligeiras desviando-se do seu caminho!

”Hur kan du säga: ’Jag har inte orenat mig och inte sprungit efter baalsgudarna’? Tänk efter hur du bar dig åt i dalen, beakta vad du har gjort. Du är som ett oroligt kamelsto, som irrar hit och dit,

“เจ้าพูดออกมาได้อย่างไรว่า ‘ข้าไม่มีมลทินข้าไม่ได้วิ่งตามพระบาอัล’?ก็ดูสิว่าเจ้าได้ประพฤติตัวอย่างไรจงพิจารณาดูสิ่งที่เจ้าทำในหุบเขานั้นเจ้าเป็นอูฐตัวเมียที่อยู่ไม่สุขวิ่งพล่านไปนั่นไปนี่

“你怎能说，‘我没有玷污自己，也没有随从巴力’？看看你在山谷中干的勾当，想想你的所作所为。你是一只发情的母骆驼，烦躁不安，跑来跑去。

你 怎 能 说 ： 我 没 有 玷 污 、 没 有 随 从 众 巴 力 ？ 你 看 你 谷 中 的 路 ， 就 知 道 你 所 行 的 如 何 。 你 是 快 行 的 独 峰 驼 ， 狂 奔 乱 走 。

「你怎能說，『我沒有玷污自己，也沒有隨從巴力』？看看你在山谷中幹的勾當，想想你的所作所為。你是一隻發情的母駱駝，煩躁不安，跑來跑去。
