Jeremiah 2:19

“Your own wickedness will discipline you,And your desertion of the faith will punish you.Know therefore that it is an evil and bitter thingFor you to abandon (reject) the Lord your God,And for you to be indifferent to Me and dismiss the [reverent] fear of Me,” says the Lord God of hosts.

Thine own wickedness shall correct thee, and thy backslidings shall reprove thee: know therefore and see that it is an evil thing and bitter, that thou hast forsaken the Lord thy God, and that my fear is not in thee, saith the Lord God of hosts.

You will be punished because you have sinned. You will be corrected for turning away from me.I am the Lord your God. If you desert me, bad things will happen to you.If you do not respect me, you will suffer bitterly. I want you to understand that,” announces the Lord who rules over all.

Your wickedness will bring its own punishment. Your turning from me will shame you.You will see what an evil, bitter thing it is to abandon the Lord your God and not to fear him. I, the Lord, the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, have spoken!

إِنَّ شَرَّكِ يُقَرِّعُكِ، وَارتِدَادُكِ يُؤَنِّبُكِ. فَتَبَيَّنِي وَاعْلَمِي أَنَّ نَبْذَكِ لِلرَّبِّ إِلَهِكِ شَرٌّ وَمَرَارَةٌ، وَأَنَّكِ تَجَرَّدْتِ مِنْ مَهَابَتِي.

Jeg er nødt til at gribe ind over for jeres oprør. Jeg er nødt til at straffe jer for jeres synder. Da vil I forstå, hvilken frygtelig fejl I begik, da I gjorde oprør imod Herren, jeres Gud, og holdt op med at have ærefrygt for mig—siger Herren, den Almægtige.

Deine eigene Bosheit wird dich strafen, deine Untreue bringt dich zu Fall: Erkenne doch, wie schmerzlich und bitter es ist, dass du mich, den Herrn, deinen Gott, verlassen hast und mir keine Ehrfurcht mehr erweist. Das sage ich, der allmächtige Herr und Gott.

おまえ自身の悪が、おまえを罰する。神である主に刃向かい、神を捨てることがどんなに悪いことであり、恐ろしいことであるかを、身をもって知るようになる。」こう天の軍勢の主は宣告します。

네 악이 너를 벌할 것이며 나를 버린 배신 행위가 너를 책망할 것이다. 네 하나님 여호와를 저버린 것과 네가 나를 두려워하지 않는 바로 그것이 악이요 쓰라린 고통인 것을 네가 알게 될 것이다. 이것은 전능한 나 여호와의 말이다.

Uw eigen slechtheid zal u straffen. U zult leren hoe slecht en bitter het is ontrouw te worden aan de Here, uw God, Hem zonder enige schroom te verlaten!’—zegt de Here, de God van de hemelse legers.

A vossa própria maldade vos castiga. Hão de ver que coisa má e amarga é rebelarem-se contra o Senhor, vosso Deus, sem temor algum de o esquecerem, diz Deus, o Senhor dos exércitos.

Răutatea ta te va pedepsi; răzvrătirea ta te va mustra.Vei şti şi vei vedea astfel cât de rău şi de amar este pentru tinesă-L părăseşti pe Domnul, Dumnezeul tău, şi să nu ai nici o frică de Mine, zice Stăpânul, Domnul Oştirilor[i].

Din ondska kommer att straffa dig, ditt avfall att tukta dig. Besinna och inse därför hur ont och bittert det är att du överger Herren, din Gud, och inte fruktar mig längre, säger Herren, härskarornas Herre.

ความชั่วร้ายของเจ้าเองจะลงโทษเจ้าที่เจ้าถอยหลังเข้าคลองนั้นจะเป็นการกล่าวโทษเจ้าเองจงพิเคราะห์ดูแล้วเจ้าจะตระหนักว่ามันเลวร้ายและขมขื่นเพียงใดสำหรับเจ้าเมื่อเจ้าละทิ้งพระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าของเจ้าและไม่มีความยำเกรงเราเลย”องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า พระยาห์เวห์ ผู้ทรงฤทธิ์ประกาศดังนั้น

你必因自己的罪恶而受惩罚，因自己的背叛而受责备。因此，你要省察且明白，背弃你的上帝耶和华、不敬畏我是多么邪恶、痛苦。这是万军之耶和华说的。

你 自 己 的 恶 必 惩 治 你 ； 你 背 道 的 事 必 责 备 你 。 由 此 可 知 可 见 ， 你 离 弃 耶 和 华 ─ 你 的 神 ， 不 存 敬 畏 我 的 心 ， 乃 为 恶 事 ， 为 苦 事 。 这 是 主 ─ 万 军 之 耶 和 华 说 的 。

你必因自己的罪惡而受懲罰，因自己的背叛而受責備。因此，你要省察且明白，背棄你的上帝耶和華、不敬畏我是多麼邪惡、痛苦。這是萬軍之耶和華說的。
