Isaiah 57:6

“Among the smooth stones of the ravineIs your portion, they (the idols) are your lot;Even to them you have poured out a drink offering,You have offered a grain offering.Should I be quiet concerning these things [leaving them unpunished—bearing them with patience]?

Among the smooth stones of the stream is thy portion; they, they are thy lot: even to them hast thou poured a drink offering, thou hast offered a meat offering. Should I receive comfort in these?

You have chosen some of the smooth stones in the valleys to be your gods. You have joined yourselves to them.You have even poured out drink offerings to them. You have given grain offerings to them. So why should I take pity on you?

إِنَّ نَصِيبَكُمْ هُوَ أَصْنَامُكُمْ مِنْ حَصَى الْوَادِي الْمَلْسَاءِ. هِيَ قُرْعَتُكُمْ، وَلَهَا سَكَبْتُمْ سَكِيبَ تَقْدِمَاتِكُمْ، وَأَصْعَدْتُمْ قَرَابِينَكُمْ، فَهَلْ أَرْضَى عَنْ هَذِهِ الأُمُورِ؟
