Isaiah 44:14

He cuts cedars for himself, and takes a cypress or an oak and lets it grow strong for himself among the trees of the forest. He plants a fir, and the rain nourishes it.

He heweth him down cedars, and taketh the cypress and the oak, which he strengtheneth for himself among the trees of the forest: he planteth an ash, and the rain doth nourish it.

Surely he cuts cedars for himself, and takes a [k]cypress or an oak and [l]raises it for himself among the trees of the forest. He plants a fir, and the rain makes it grow.

يَقْطَعُ شَجَرَةَ أَرْزٍ أَوْ يَخْتَارُ سِنْدِيَاناً أَوْ بَلُّوطاً. يَتْرُكُهَا تَنْمُو بَيْنَ أَشْجَارِ الْغَابَةِ. أَوْ يَزْرَعُ شَجَرَةَ صَنُوبَرٍ فَيُنْمِيهَا الْمَطَرُ.

Måske fælder han et cedertræ, måske en elm eller eg. Han planter et træ, og regnen får det til at gro. 15-17 Noget af træet bruger han til brændsel.
