Isaiah 19:6

The canals will become foul-smelling,The streams of Egypt will thin out and dry up,The reeds and the rushes will rot away.

And they shall turn the rivers far away; and the brooks of defence shall be emptied and dried up: the reeds and flags shall wither.

The [e]canals will emit a stench,The [f]streams of Egypt will thin out and dry up;The reeds and rushes will rot away.

Its canals will stink. And the streams of Egypt will get smaller and smaller until they dry up.The tall grass that grows along the river will dry up.

تُنْتِنُ الْقَنَوَاتُ، وَتَتَنَاقَصُ تَفَرُّعَاتُ النِّيلِ وَتَجِفُّ، وَيَتْلَفُ الْقَصَبُ وَالْبَرْدِيُّ.

Die Nebenarme werden zu abgestandenen, stinkenden Tümpeln, und die Kanäle versanden. Schilf und Binsen verdorren,
