أَمَّا بَابِلُ، مَجْدُ الْمَمَالِكِ وَبَهَاءُ وَفَخْرُ الْكَلْدَانِيِّينَ، فَتُصْبِحُ كَسَدُومَ وَعَمُورَةَ اللَّتَيْنِ قَلَبَهُمَا اللهُ.

Det går Babylon, den herlige storby, den kaldæiske kulturs stolthed og pryd, som det gik Sodoma og Gomorra, dengang Herren sendte ild fra himlen.

こうして、王国の誉れでありカルデヤ文明の華であったバビロンは、天からの火に焼かれたソドムとゴモラのように滅びる。

바빌로니아는 모든 나라 중에서도 가장 화려한 나라이며 갈대아 사람들의 자랑거리이지만 소돔과 고모라처럼 멸망당할 것이다.
