Hosea 4:12

My people consult their [lifeless] wooden idol, and their [diviner’s] wand gives them oracles.For a spirit of prostitution has led them astray [morally and spiritually],And they have played the prostitute, withdrawing themselves from their God.

My people ask counsel at their stocks, and their staff declareth unto them: for the spirit of whoredoms hath caused them to err, and they have gone a whoring from under their God.

My people consult their wooden idol, and their diviner’s wand informs them;For a spirit of harlotry has led them astray,And they have played the harlot, departing [i]from their God.

My people ask a wooden statue of a god for advice. They get answers from a stick of wood.They are as unfaithful as prostitutes. They are not faithful to their God.

My people consult a wooden idol, and a diviner’s rod speaks to them.A spirit of prostitution leads them astray; they are unfaithful to their God.

They ask a piece of wood for advice! They think a stick can tell them the future!Longing after idols has made them foolish.They have played the prostitute, serving other gods and deserting their God.

فَيَطْلُبُونَ مَشُورَةَ قِطْعَةِ خَشَبٍ وَيَسْأَلُونَ عَصاً! لأَنَّ رُوحَ زِنىً قَدْ أَضَلَّهُمْ فَنَبَذُوا إِلَهَهُمْ وَزَنَوْا وَرَاءَ آخَرَ.

Tænk, de rådspørger en afgud af træ! De søger svar fra en kæp! Afgudsdyrkelsens ånd har ført dem på afveje. De er utro over for deres Gud.

Mein Volk holt sich Rat bei Götzenbildern aus Holz. Sie erwarten Auskunft und Hilfe, indem sie mit Stäben das Orakel befragen. Besessen von ihrer Hurerei und Treulosigkeit, sind sie auf Abwege geraten; von mir, ihrem Gott, wollen sie nichts mehr wissen.

Mi pueblo consulta a su ídolo de madera, y ese pedazo de palo le responde;su tendencia a prostituirse los descarría; se prostituyen en abierto desafío a su Dios.

Ce sont ses dieux de bois |que mon peuple consulte,et voilà que c’est son bâton[e] |qui lui répond.Car un vent de prostitution |les fait errer,ils s’égarent loin de leur Dieu |en se prostituant[f].

Nagapangayo kamo sang laygay sa inyo dios-dios nga kahoy. Kag suno sa inyo, nagasabat ini. Ginapatalang kamo sang espiritu nga nagatulod sa inyo sa pagsimba sa mga dios-dios, gani gintalikdan ninyo ako pareho sang babayi nga nagpanginlalaki.

驚いたことに、彼らは木片に向かって、自分はどうしたらよいかと尋ねている。神の真理を占いによって知るというのだ。偶像を恋い慕ううちに、彼らは愚か者になってしまった。遊女のようにふるまって他の神々に仕え、わたしを捨ててしまった。

그들이 나무 우상에게 묻고 그 나무 막대기는 그들이 알고 싶어하는 것을 말해 준다. 그들은 음란한 정신에 미혹되어 창녀짓을 하고 그들의 하나님을 떠났다.

Het vraagt nu aan een stuk hout wat het moet doen en het leest de toekomst af aan houten stokjes. Hun verlangen naar afgoden heeft hen aan het dwalen gebracht. Want zij hebben overspel gepleegd door andere goden te dienen en Mij te verlaten.

Eles pedem conselhos a um ídolo de madeira,e de um pedaço de pau recebem resposta.Um espírito de prostituição os leva a desviar-se;eles são infiéis ao seu Deus.

Consultam um pedaço de madeira sobre o que devem fazer. A divina resposta é-lhes dada pela maneira como uma vara cai, quando atirada ao chão. O correr atrás de outros deuses os corrompeu; o espírito de luxúria enganou-os e apartaram-se da sujeição ao seu Deus.

Mitt folk frågar sin träbit om råd och vill ha svar av en stock. En ande av otukt leder dem vilse, och de är otrogna mot sin Gud.

ประชากรของเราไปปรึกษารูปเคารพไม้อาศัยคำตอบจากไม้เสี่ยงโชควิญญาณแห่งการเป็นโสเภณีชักนำเขาให้หลงเตลิดเขาไม่ซื่อสัตย์ต่อพระเจ้าของเขา

“我的子民祈求木头，随从木杖的指引。淫乱的心使他们走入歧途，他们不忠不贞，背弃他们的上帝。

我 的 民 求 问 木 偶 ， 以 为 木 杖 能 指 示 他 们 ； 因 为 他 们 的 淫 心 使 他 们 失 迷 ， 他 们 就 行 淫 离 弃 神 ， 不 守 约 束 ，

「我的子民祈求木頭，隨從木杖的指引。淫亂的心使他們走入歧途，他們不忠不貞，背棄他們的上帝。
