Hosea 11:2

The more they [the prophets] called them [to repentance and obedience],The more they went away from them;They kept sacrificing to the BaalsAnd burning incense to the carved images.

As they called them, so they went from them: they sacrificed unto Baalim, and burned incense to graven images.

But the more I called out to Israel, the more they went away from me.They brought sacrifices to the statues of the gods that were named Baal. And they burned incense to them.

لَكِنْ كُلَّمَا دَعَاهُمُ الأَنْبِيَاءُ لِعِبَادَتِي أَعْرَضُوا عَنِّي، ذَابِحِينَ قَرَابِينَ لِلْبَعْلِ، وَمُصْعِدِينَ بَخُوراً لِلأَوْثَانِ.

Men jo mere der derefter blev kaldt på dem, jo længere gik de væk fra mig. De ofrede til Ba’al og brændte røgelse for afguderne.

Pero karon, bisan sige ang tawag ko[c] sa ila nga mga taga-Israel, labi na gid gani nga nagapalayo sila sa akon.[d] Nagahalad sila sang mga halad kag nagasunog sang mga insenso sa mga imahen ni Baal.

それなのに、呼べば呼ぶほど彼はますます反逆し、バアルにいけにえをささげ、偶像に香をたいた。

그러나 내가 그를 부를수록 그는 점점 더 멀리 나를 떠나 바알에게 제사하며 그 우상들에게 분향하였다.

Maar hoe meer Ik haar riep, des te meer rebelleerde zij, bracht offers aan Baäl en brandde wierook voor gesneden afgodsbeelden.

Men ju mer jag har kallat på dem,[a] desto längre bort har de gått från mig. De offrar till baalsgudar och tänder rökelse till avgudar.
