Genesis 47:4

Moreover, they said to Pharaoh, “We have come to live temporarily (sojourn) in the land [of Egypt], for there is no pasture for the flocks of your servants [in our land], for the famine is very severe in Canaan. So now, please let your servants live in the land of Goshen.”

They said morever unto Pharaoh, For to sojourn in the land are we come; for thy servants have no pasture for their flocks; for the famine is sore in the land of Canaan: now therefore, we pray thee, let thy servants dwell in the land of Goshen.

They said to Pharaoh, “We have come to sojourn in the land, for there is no pasture for your servants’ flocks, for the famine is severe in the land of Canaan. Now, therefore, please let your servants [a]live in the land of Goshen.”

They also said to him, “We’ve come to live in Egypt for a while. There isn’t enough food anywhere in Canaan. There isn’t any grass for our flocks. So please let us live in Goshen.”

They also said to him, “We have come to live here for a while, because the famine is severe in Canaan and your servants’ flocks have no pasture. So now, please let your servants settle in Goshen.”

وَلَقَدْ جِئْنَا لِنَتَغَرَّبَ فِي الأَرْضِ إِذْ لَيْسَ لِغَنَمِ عَبِيدِكَ مَرْعىً مِنْ جَرَّاءِ وَطْأَةِ الْجُوعِ فِي أَرْضِ كَنْعَانَ، فَدَعْ عَبِيدَكَ يُقِيمُونَ فِي أَرْضِ جَاسَانَ».

„Vi er kommet for at bo som gæster i Egypten. Der er ikke mere græs til vores dyr i Kana’an, for hungersnøden er meget streng der. Vi beder derfor om tilladelse til at bo i Goshen.”

Et ils ajoutèrent : Nous sommes venus séjourner dans le pays, car la famine sévit durement au pays de Canaan et il n’y a plus de pâturage pour les troupeaux de tes serviteurs là-bas. Permets donc à tes serviteurs de s’installer dans la région de Goshen.

このたびは、ありがたいおことばに甘え、お国に住まわせていただこうとやってまいりました。カナンは不作続きで、もう牧草がありません。そのひどさはたいへんなものです。どうか、ゴシェンの地に住む許可をお与えください。」 5-6 王はヨセフに言いました。「ご一族の皆さんには、どこでも好きな所に住んでいただこう。万事おまえに任せる。エジプトの一番良い土地を見つけてあげればよい。まあ、ゴシェンの地はふさわしいかもしれない。もし兄弟に有能な者がいれば、遠慮はいらん。私の家畜の管理責任者に取り立てるがよい。」

다시 이렇게 말하였다. “가나안 땅에는 기근이 심하여 우리 짐승을 기를 목초지가 없으므로 우리가 이 곳에 잠시 살려고 왔습니다. 제발 저희들을 고센 땅에서 살게 해 주십시오.”

迦南的饥荒很严重，羊群没有草吃，所以我们到这里来寄居，求你准许仆人们住在歌珊。”
