Genesis 32:28

And He said, “Your name shall no longer be Jacob, but [c]Israel; for you have struggled with God and with men and have prevailed.”

And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed.

The man said, “But no longer. Your name is no longer Jacob. From now on it’s Israel (God-Wrestler); you’ve wrestled with God and you’ve come through.”

He said, “Your name shall no longer be Jacob, but [n]Israel; for you have striven with God and with men and have prevailed.”

Then the man said, “Your name will not be Jacob anymore. Instead, it will be Israel. You have wrestled with God and with people. And you have won.”

Then the man said, “Your name will no longer be Jacob, but Israel,[f] because you have struggled with God and with humans and have overcome.”

Then the man said, ‘Your name will no longer be Jacob, but Israel,[f] because you have struggled with God and with humans and have overcome.’

“Your name will no longer be Jacob,” the man told him. “From now on you will be called Israel,[c] because you have fought with God and with men and have won.”

فَقَالَ: «لا يُدْعَى اسْمُكَ فِيمَا بَعْدُ يَعْقُوبَ، بَلْ إِسْرَائِيلَ (وَمَعْنَاهُ: يُجَاهِدُ مَعَ اللهِ)، لأَنَّكَ جَاهَدْتَ مَعَ اللهِ وَالنَّاسِ وَقَدَرْتَ».

„Hvad er dit navn?” spurgte manden.„Jakob,” svarede han.

»Wie heißt du?«, fragte der Mann. Als Jakob seinen Namen nannte,

「いや、もうヤコブではない。神と戦い、人と戦って強さを示したのだから、イスラエルと変えるがいい。」

“네가 하나님과 겨루고 사람과 겨루어 이겼으므로 다시는 네 이름을 야곱이라 하지 않고 [b]‘이스라엘’ 이라 부를 것이다.”

‘Zo zult u niet langer heten,’ vertelde de Ander hem. ‘Voortaan heet u Israël, want u hebt met God en de mensen gestreden en overwonnen.’

Então disse o homem: “Seu nome não será mais Jacó, mas sim Israel[c], porque você lutou com Deus e com homens e venceu”.

“Não serás mais Jacob, mas Israel (lutar com Deus). Porque como príncipe lutaste com Deus e com os seres humanos e prevaleceste!”

Atunci bărbatul acela i-a zis:– Nu te vei mai numi Iacov, ci Israel[d], pentru că te-ai luptat cu Dumnezeu şi cu oamenii şi ai învins.

”Du ska inte längre heta Jakob”, sa mannen. ”Du ska heta Israel[c], för du har kämpat med både Gud och människor och segrat.”

แล้วบุรุษนั้นจึงกล่าวว่า “เจ้าจะไม่ชื่อว่ายาโคบอีก แต่จะชื่อว่าอิสราเอล[d] เพราะเจ้าสู้กับพระเจ้าและสู้กับมนุษย์แล้วเจ้าก็ชนะ”

那人说：“你以后不要再叫雅各了，你要叫以色列，因为你跟上帝和人角力都得胜了。”

那 人 说 ： 你 的 名 不 要 再 叫 雅 各 ， 要 叫 以 色 列 ； 因 为 你 与 神 与 人 较 力 ， 都 得 了 胜 。

那人說：「你以後不要再叫雅各了，你要叫以色列，因為你跟上帝和人角力都得勝了。」
