Genesis 17:3

Then Abram fell on his face [in worship], and God spoke with him, saying,

فَسَقَطَ أَبْرَامُ عَلَى وَجْهِهِ، فَخَاطَبَهُ اللهُ قَائِلاً:

Abram bøjede sig med ansigtet mod jorden i ærefrygt, og Gud fortsatte:

Da warf sich Abram zu Boden, und Gott sprach weiter zu ihm: 4-5 »Ich verspreche dir: Du wirst zum Stammvater vieler Völker werden. Darum sollst du von nun an nicht mehr Abram (›erhabener Vater‹) heißen, sondern Abraham (›Vater der Völkermenge‹).
