Genesis 11:31

Terah took Abram his son, and Lot the son of Haran, his grandson, and Sarai his daughter-in-law, his son Abram’s wife; and they went out together to go from Ur of the Chaldeans into the land of Canaan; but when they came to Haran [about five hundred and fifty miles northwest of Ur], they settled there.

And Terah took Abram his son, and Lot the son of Haran his son's son, and Sarai his daughter in law, his son Abram's wife; and they went forth with them from Ur of the Chaldees, to go into the land of Canaan; and they came unto Haran, and dwelt there.

Terah took his son Abram, his grandson Lot (Haran’s son), and Sarai his daughter-in-law (his son Abram’s wife) and set out with them from Ur of the Chaldees for the land of Canaan. But when they got as far as Haran, they settled down there.

Terah left Ur in Babylon. He took with him his son Abram and his grandson Lot, the son of Haran. Terah also took his daughter-in-law Sarai, the wife of his son Abram. All of them left together to go to Canaan. But when they came to Harran, they made their home there.

One day Terah took his son Abram, his daughter-in-law Sarai (his son Abram’s wife), and his grandson Lot (his son Haran’s child) and moved away from Ur of the Chaldeans. He was headed for the land of Canaan, but they stopped at Haran and settled there.

وَأَخَذَ تَارَحُ ابْنَهُ أَبْرَامَ وَحَفِيدَهُ لُوطاً بْنَ هَارَانَ، وَسَارَايَ كَنَّتَهُ زَوْجَةَ ابْنِهِ أَبْرَامَ، وَارْتَحَلَ بِهِمْ مِنْ أُورِ الْكَلْدَانِيِّينَ لِيَذْهَبُوا إِلَى أَرْضِ كَنْعَانَ.

Tera tog sin søn Abram, sin svigerdatter Saraj og sit barnebarn Lot med sig og forlod sin hjemby Ur for at drage til Kana’ans land. Men da de kom til byen Karan, slog de sig ned der.

Terach tog sin son Abram, sin sonson Lot, Harans son, och sin svärdotter Saraj och lämnade Ur i Kaldéen för att flytta till Kanaans land. Men de stannade och bosatte sig i staden Harran.
