Genesis 1:14

Then God said, “Let there be light-bearers (sun, moon, stars) in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night, and let them be useful for signs (tokens) [of God’s provident care], and for marking seasons, days, and years;

And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:

Then God said, “Let there be [s]lights in the [t]expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night, and let them be for signs and for seasons and for days and years;

God said, “Let there be lights in the huge space of the sky. Let them separate the day from the night. Let the lights set the times for the holy celebrations and the days and the years.

And God said, “Let there be lights in the vault of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark sacred times, and days and years,

Then God said, “Let lights appear in the sky to separate the day from the night. Let them be signs to mark the seasons, days, and years.

ثُمَّ أَمَرَ اللهُ: «لِتَكُنْ أَنْوَارٌ فِي قُبَّةِ السَّمَاءِ لِتُفَرِّقَ بَيْنَ النَّهَارِ وَاللَّيْلِ، فَتَكُونَ عَلَامَاتٍ لِتَحْدِيدِ أَزْمِنَةٍ وَأَيَّامٍ وَسِنِينَ.

Da befahl Gott: »Am Himmel sollen Lichter entstehen, die den Tag und die Nacht voneinander trennen und nach denen man die Jahreszeiten und auch die Tage und Jahre bestimmen kann!

Disse Deus: “Haja luminares no firmamento do céu para separar o dia da noite. Sirvam eles de sinais para marcar estações, dias e anos,

Deus disse ainda: “Que no firmamento haja fontes de luz que iluminem a Terra e demarquem o dia e a noite! Servirão também para estabelecer a sucessão das estações e a sequência dos dias e dos anos.” 15-18 E assim aconteceu. Deus fez pois duas grandes fontes de luz: o Sol e a Lua para iluminarem a Terra.
