Ezekiel 33:2

“Son of man, speak to the sons of your people [who are exiled in Babylon] and say to them, ‘If I bring a sword on a land, and the people of the land take one man from among them and make him their watchman,

Son of man, speak to the children of thy people, and say unto them, When I bring the sword upon a land, if the people of the land take a man of their coasts, and set him for their watchman:

“Son of man, speak to your people. Tell them, ‘Suppose I send enemies against a land. And its people choose one of their men to stand guard.

“Son of man, speak to your people and say to them: ‘When I bring the sword against a land, and the people of the land choose one of their men and make him their watchman,

‘Son of man, speak to your people and say to them: “When I bring the sword against a land, and the people of the land choose one of their men and make him their watchman,

“Son of man, give your people this message: ‘When I bring an army against a country, the people of that land choose one of their own to be a watchman.

«يَا ابْنَ آدَمَ، خَاطِبْ أَبْنَاءَ إِسْرَائِيلَ وَقُلْ لَهُمْ: إِذَا جَلَبْتُ سَيْفاً عَلَى أَرْضٍ كَانَ أَهْلُهَا قَدْ أَقَامُوا لَهُمْ رَقِيباً مِنْ بَيْنِهِمْ.

„Du menneske, tal til dit folk og giv dem følgende budskab: Når jeg sender en fjendtlig hær imod et land, udpeger landets befolkning en vagtpost.

人 子 啊 ， 你 要 告 诉 本 国 的 子 民 说 ： 我 使 刀 剑 临 到 哪 一 国 ， 那 一 国 的 民 从 他 们 中 间 选 立 一 人 为 守 望 的 。

「人子啊，你要告訴你的同胞，『我若使戰爭降臨某地，那地方的百姓就應選一人做守望者。
