Ezekiel 21:13

For this sword has been tested [on others]; and what if it views with contempt the scepter [of Judah]? The scepter shall be no more [but shall be swept away],” says the Lord God.

Because it is a trial, and what if the sword contemn even the rod? it shall be no more, saith the Lord God.

“‘Testing comes. Why have you despised discipline?You can’t get around it. Decree of God, the Master.’ 14-17 “So, prophesy, son of man! Clap your hands. Get their attention.Tell them that the sword’s coming down once, twice, three times.It’s a sword to kill, a sword for a massacre,A sword relentless, a sword inescapable—People collapsing right and left, going down like dominoes.I’ve stationed a murderous sword at every gate in the city,Flashing like lightning, brandished murderously.Cut to the right, thrust to the left, murderous, sharp-edged sword!Then I’ll clap my hands, a signal that my anger is spent. I, God, have spoken.” 18-22 God’s Message came to me: “Son of man, lay out two roads for the sword of the king of Babylon to take. Start them from the same place. Place a signpost at the beginning of each road. Post one sign to mark the road of the sword to Rabbah of the Ammonites. Post the other to mark the road to Judah and Fort Jerusalem. The king of Babylon stands at the fork in the road and he decides by divination which of the two roads to take. He draws straws, he throws god-dice, he examines a goat liver. He opens his right hand: The omen says, ‘Head for Jerusalem!’ So he’s on his way with battering rams, roused to kill, sounding the battle cry, pounding down city gates, building siege works.

For there is a testing; and what if even the [i]rod which despises will be no more?” declares the Lord God.

“You can be sure that testing will come. Why does the sword look down on the scepter? Because even the scepter will not continue to rule,” announces the Lord and King.

“‘Testing will surely come. And what if even the scepter, which the sword despises, does not continue? declares the Sovereign Lord.’

‘“Testing will surely come. And what if even the sceptre, which the sword despises, does not continue? declares the Sovereign Lord.”

It will put them all to the test. What chance do they have?[c] says the Sovereign Lord.

لأَنَّ الامْتِحَانَ قَدْ أُعِدَّ وَمَاذَا يَحْدُثُ إِنْ لَمْ تُقْبَلْ هَذِهِ الْعَصَا الْمُحْتَقِرَةُ؟ يَقُولُ السَّيِّدُ الرَّبُّ.

Herren sagde til mig: 14-16 „Sig til dem: Sværdet er pudset, så det blinker i lyset. Det er slebet skarpt og klar til at dræbe. Mit folks konge giver ingen glæde, og sværdet vil hugge alle ned.[b] Nu er sværdet parat til at slagte. Det lægges i bøddelens hænder.

Weiter sprach der Herr zu mir:

こうして、すべての者が試される。逃れることはできない。」神である主がこう語るのです。

내가 내 백성을 시험하겠다. [c]만일 그들이 회개하지 않으면 이 모든 일이 그들에게 일어날 것이다. 이것은 나 주 여호와의 말이다.

In mijn toorn zal Ik hen allen op de proef stellen en welke kans zullen zij dan nog hebben om hun straf te ontlopen? vraagt de Oppermachtige Here.

“É certo que a prova virá. E que acontecerá, se o cetro de Judá, que a espada despreza, não continuar a existir? Palavra do Soberano, o Senhor.

Serão assim submetidos a uma dura prova e que probabilidades terão de escapar, pergunta o Senhor Deus.

Prövningen ska nämligen komma. Vad är det som kommer att drabbas, om inte den föraktande spiran?[d] säger Herren, Herren.’

“ ‘การทดสอบจะมาถึงอย่างแน่นอน จะว่าอย่างไรหากคทาแห่งยูดาห์ซึ่งดาบนั้นรังเกียจจะไม่คงอยู่ต่อไป? พระยาห์เวห์องค์เจ้าชีวิตประกาศดังนั้น’

这刀必试验他们，这刀所鄙视的权杖若不复存在，怎么办呢？这是主耶和华说的。’

有 试 验 的 事 ； 若 那 藐 视 的 杖 归 於 无 有 ， 怎 麽 样 呢 ？ 这 是 主 耶 和 华 说 的 。
