Ezekiel 18:11

(though the father did not do any of these things), that is, the son even eats [the food set before idols] at the mountain shrines, and defiles his neighbor’s wife,

And that doeth not any of those duties, but even hath eaten upon the mountains, and defiled his neighbour's wife,

(though he himself did not do any of these things), that is, he even eats at the mountain shrines, and defiles his neighbor’s wife,

Suppose he does these things even though his father never did.“Suppose the son eats at the mountain temples. And he sleeps with another man’s wife.

(though the father has done none of them):“He eats at the mountain shrines.He defiles his neighbor’s wife.

And that son does all the evil things his father would never do—he worships idols on the mountains, commits adultery,

وَلَمْ يَصْنَعْ شَيْئاً مِنْ ذَلِكَ الْخَيْرِ، بَلْ صَعِدَ إِلَى الْجِبَالِ لِيَأْكُلَ أَمَامَ الأَصْنَامِ، وَزَنَى مَعَ امْرَأَةِ جَارِهِ،

Måske ofrer børnene til afguderne, begår ægteskabsbrud 12-13 og undertrykker de fattige og hjælpeløse. Måske stjæler de, låner penge ud mod høje renter og giver ikke låneren sit pant tilbage. Måske søger de hjælp hos afguderne og gør andre afskyelige ting. Den slags mennesker skal dø, for de har gjort afskyelige ting og må selv bære ansvaret for deres handlinger.

わたしのおきてに逆らって、丘の上で偶像を拝み、姦淫を行い、

als hij iemand is die weigert de wetten van God na te leven, maar afgoden aanbidt in de bergen en overspel pleegt,

şi nu face nici unul din lucrurile bune,ci mănâncă pe munţi, o necinsteşte pe soţia semenului său,

som han själv aldrig gjorde: håller offermåltid uppe i bergen, kränker sin nästas hustru,

(แม้ว่าผู้เป็นบิดาไม่ได้ทำสิ่งเหล่านี้เลย)“เขารับประทานอาหารที่สถานบูชาบนภูเขาเขาสร้างราคีแก่ภรรยาของเพื่อนบ้าน
